WATCH: Odell Beckham Jr. celebrates with dance following Super Bowl win
Odell Beckham Jr might have been injured in the first half of Sunday’s Super Bowl, but that didn’t stop him from celebrating after the Los Angeles Rams won the title. Following the game, Beckham was dancing in the locker room alongside the rest of his teammates, even with a knee injury.
Beckham was targeted three times before leaving the Super Bowl with the injury. He caught two passes for 52 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown gave him seven on the season since joining Los Angeles, setting a new NFL record for the most scores with a team other than the one he started the season with. Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper previously held that record with six touchdowns in 2018 after leaving the Raiders.
In eight regular season games with the Rams, Beckham caught 27 passes on 48 targets for 305 yards and five touchdowns. In the playoffs, he played a big role yet again. After the Super Bowl, Beckham finished the postseason with 21 receptions on 26 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
An extension could be coming for Beckham with the Rams following the Super Bowl
With a Super Bowl title to his name and after getting a fresh start in Los Angeles, Beckham could now be staying with the Rams moving forward. Prior to Sunday’s game, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that the Rams are “very optimistic” about re-signing the former LSU star.

“The (Rams) are very optimistic they will re-sign OBJ,” Mortensen tweeted. “Team brass and Sean McVay say he’s been a ideal fit. He’s impactful. Explosive. TD maker. He can max out his $3 million in incentives with a W today but the Rams are certain it won’t be his last paycheck with them.”
Beckham earned a $1 million bonus for winning the Super Bowl with the Rams, maxing out the incentives on the one-year contract he signed earlier in the year. He fit perfectly into the Rams offense, especially considering just days after he signed with the team, wide receiver Robert Woods tore his ACL and was forced to miss the rest of the season. Beckham played alongside star wideout Cooper Kupp, who had a huge impact on Beckham in their limited time together this season.
“I’ve learned so much from him,” Beckham said of Kupp. “He’s a great guy. Obviously, an incredible talent. I’m just happy that I made the right choice. Now, I just feel like he deserves this trophy and he deserves the ring … along with everybody else here, but I want to be able to help them finish the job.”
