WATCH: Patrick Surtain II returns an interception 70 yards for a touchdown
Former Alabama star Patrick Surtain II is having himself a career day for the Denver Broncos. Many people projected superstardom in the NFL for the former Crimson Tide great, and he’s proving everybody right this season.
The rookie defensive back intercepted Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert twice today, with the second one being a 70-yard house call for six.
Check out the clip below of his second interception.
The pick six was the first touchdown of his very young NFL career thus far. The play put the Broncos up on the Chargers 28-7 with under eight minutes to play in the game. Denver won the game 28-13.
So far, just 10 games into his rookie season, Surtain II has already snagged three interceptions. He’s definitely a leading candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

It’s a very cool stat and there’s no question football greatness has been in Surtain II’s blood from a very early age. The Denver Broncos got themselves a great one, no question about it.
