WATCH: The time Peyton Manning made an entire casino lose their mind
For the second time, America had the option to watch “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” as an alternative to the typical ESPN broadcast. Like the inaugural event, this week’s game did not disappoint.
ESPN’s Pat McAfee joined his former Indianapolis Colts teammate on the broadcast for the Packers-Lions matchup last night and shared a story from an encounter with the elder Manning brother in a casino in Indiana involving a game of roulette.
McAfee had placed his chips where he wanted them, and Peyton walked into the area where he was standing.
“As soon as that curtain moved, it was like Stone Cold Steve Austin with the glass break,” McAfee said, referring to the famous wrestler.
As the crowd went crazy over the appearance of one of the NFL’s all-time greats, Manning made his way over to McAfee.
“He literally stops right next to me, and he goes ‘How ‘bout that Red 18, Pat?’” McAfee said. “Immediately at that point, everybody at the table goes ‘Well who the hell is this dufus that has been standing here, and why did Peyton even say anything to him?’ And I was like ‘Ah, I’m the caddy, I don’t know.’”
After a moment of silence and reflection, everyone in the general vicinity, including McAfee, decided to put all of their chips on Red 18 on the Roulette wheel. Of course, Manning was right.
“Spins that thing,” McAfee said. “Eighteen hits, bananas, the whole place [goes]. Obviously, Peyton just walks out as if this was a regularity. Everybody got paid, and it was at that moment I was like ‘Alright if Peyton tells me to jump, how high dude?’”

The story proved to be one of the best of the night, as Americans thoroughly enjoyed the inside look they are getting into the lives and careers of the two brothers.
Last night’s broadcast included a few other great jokes. The elder Manning brother took a jab at the New England Patriots, stating that he thought his locker room was bugged when he played in Foxboro.
During last week’s broadcast of the Ravens-Raiders game, Eli Manning mocked his brother’s sweaty forehead after his older sibling wore a helmet during a segment.
“You need some more powder on your forehead, it looks like you sprayed Pam all over it,” Eli Manning joked.
The joint broadcasts have been met with calls for additional appearances from the two brothers, including at the college level.
Ole Miss (and former Tennessee) head coach Lane Kiffin has been a big proponent of having the Mannings do a multicast when their alma maters, the Volunteers and the Rebels, square off at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 16.
Kiffin added to the fodder again this morning, tweeting support for the idea once again.
