WATCH: Von Bell gives back to community in return to hometown
The NFL offseason is a great time for players in the league to give back to their respective communities by hosting camps in various places around the country. Former Ohio State star Vonn Bell decided to give back to his community by forming the Pick Six Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to helping young athletes and their families in underserved areas. Check out the video below as the Pick Six Foundation recently hosted their third annual camp at Ridgeland High School (Rossville, Georgia)–Bell’s alma mater.
Bell was originally a second-round draft pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He spent his first four seasons with them from 2016-2019. The former Ohio State standout immediately made a name for himself as an excellent tackler. In 2019, he led the NFL in fumble recoveries with five and also led all defensive backs in the league in sacks (4.5) in 2017.
Bell has spent the last two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals (2020 and 2021)–where he’s racked up 211 tackles. The gifted safety was quietly one of the big reasons for the franchise’s turnaround and their magical Super Bowl run last season.
