With the full NFL schedule released on Thursday night, the buzz surrounding the 2022 season is becoming palpable even though there are four months until kickoff. Throughout the entire summer, certain matchups will be discussed at length as we draw closer and closer to another NFL season.

Tickets for matchups have been released to the public as well as fans line up to see their favorite teams in live-action. Some are starting out at a higher price than others thanks to the implications on the line. Five, in particular, stand out, with Front Office Sports naming the five highest-priced tickets following the 2022 NFL schedule release.

Highest-priced NFL tickets after schedule released

Green Bay Packers- Dallas Cowboys, $690 – At face value, the Dallas Cowboys traveling up to Lambeau Field is always going to drive up prices but this season’s matchup has more at stake. For the first time since taking over the Cowboys, former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy will be back in the place he called home for 13 seasons and won a Super Bowl. Huge NFC implications are expected to be on the line, especially being in the latter half of the year. Packers fans will always support their team but whenever the Cowboys are in town, the intensity gets amped up.

Dallas Cowboys-Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $510 – For the second consecutive season, these two teams will open the season against one another. Tampa Bay got the win in 2021 at home, coming off a Super Bowl victory. This year, the contest will take place at AT&T Stadium on Sunday Night Football. Between Tom Brady backing off his retirement and being a prime-time matchup, excitement will be flowing through Dallas for the opening weekend matchup.

San Francisco 49ers-Las Vegas Raiders, $490 – Two playoff teams from last season, this will be an old Bay Area rivalry expanded into the city of Las Vegas. Taking place on New Year’s Day, both teams will turn the calendar to 2023 with hopes of having the playoffs ahead. Two offensive masterminds in Kyle Shanahan and Josh McDaniels should guarantee a high flying scoring game as well. A valuable ticket in Las Vegas.

Dallas Cowboys-Houston Texans, $482 – Rarely do the state of Texas’ teams meet up during the regular season. The two have not met at AT&T Stadium for a regular-season game since 2014. There have been plenty of preseason games but few in the regular season. Add in the cities of Dallas of Houston being two of the biggest in the country and people from the Lone Star State want to get their hands on tickets. Even if the Texans do not project to have the best season, the rare matchup

Chicago Bears-San Francisco 49ers, $478 – Two traditional NFC powerhouses are set to face off at Soldier Field when San Francisco heads to Chicago. The possible intrigue in this game possibly lies in two young starting quarterbacks, with Justin Fields taking over the Bears. Whether or not Trey Lance will be playing is yet to be seen but after being picked No. 3 overall, his time will come. Being a season opener adds to the build as well, even if kickoff is scheduled for 1 ET.
