2024 NASCAR Awards: How, when to watch
On Friday night, NASCAR will celebrate the season and all of the champions as part of the NASCAR Awards, but it won’t air on TV. For those hoping to watch the ceremony, you will have to wait a couple of days.
The 2024 season is over. Ty Majeski, Justin Allgaier, and Joey Logano are the Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series champions. Rookies of the Year have been named. There are a number of postseason awards to hand out on top of that.
For those wanting to watch the NASCAR Awards, good news. It is on an over-the-air channel.
How to Watch 2024 NASCAR Awards:
Date: Sunday, November 24, 2024
Time: 3:00 PM EST
Channel: The CW
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Like most years the NASCAR Awards will not air live. Instead, they will be on delay and fans can tune into the final product on Sunday afternoon. This is an event that has maybe lost a little luster in recent years.
The awards ceremony has been hosted in New York City, Las Vegas, Nashville, and now Charlotte. Going back to the Queen City, the home of NASCAR. While it won’t be a live event, social media has made it more accessible to fans in recent years.
The CW is a new broadcast partner for NASCAR. They are going to host the entire Xfinity Series season in 2025. So, it’s nice to see them also get involved here. When you can put an event in front of as many eyes as possible, that’s a win.

2024 NASCAR Awards: Fashion and fun
During the NASCAR Awards we do get to see a side of drivers we normally don’t get to see. Instead of firesuits, they’re wearing tuxedos and fancy suit jackets. Over the years there have been iconic moments at the banquet/awards ceremony, and this year could produce more.
It isn’t every year that you get a strong group of champions like this. Ty Majeski is a real short-track driver that is perfect as the Truck champion. Justin Allgaier is a long-suffering Xfinity driver who finally broke through in the Championship 4.
Then you have Joey Logano. As controversial as he may be this season, he is a three-time champion. That is a thing that this sport has not seen in quite a long time. With his history as one of the next big things as a prospect, flaming out at Joe Gibbs, then having a Hall of Fame career with Team Penske is something worthy of celebration.
The NASCAR Awards are happening this Friday night. However, fans will have to wait to watch until Sunday. By now you should have The CW stuff figured out if you watch the Xfinity Series, if not, you still have time.
