The Kansas City Chiefs’ impressive 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday not only marks the end of an incredible NFL season. But it also officially sets the order and the stage for the 2024 NFL Draft.

For the second straight season, the Chiefs will be making the very last pick of the first round in this year’s NFL Draft as defending Super Bowl champions. But the rest of the first round has a plethora of changes that make this year’s first round one of the most exciting to date.

Check out the official 2024 NFL Draft first round order following Super Bowl Sunday below.

1. Chicago Bears

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

For two straight seasons, the Chicago Bears possess the first overall pick of the NFL Draft. Trading the top pick of the 2023 draft to the Carolina Panthers who finished with a league-worst 2-15 record last season.

The Bears have a big decision to make as they enter their fourth season with Justin Fields as their starting quarterback, who they selected with the No. 11 overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. A strong majority believes USC quarterback Caleb Williams will be selected No. 1 overall, regarded by many as a generational talent. But with two top-10 selections this year, Chicago holds all the cards with plenty of options at their disposal.

2. Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders enter a new regime with a favorable pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Led by new owner Josh Harris, new general manager Adam Peters, and new head coach Dan Quinn.

Many expect the Commanders to select a quarterback with their No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming draft, with former 2022 fifth-round selection Sam Howell starting all 17 of their games last season. But like Chicago, Washington will likely have various options given the cache of this year’s quarterback class.

3. New England Patriots

Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots will enter the 2024 NFL season without Bill Belichick as their head coach for the first time since 1999. Parting ways with who most believe is the greatest coach of all time and a surefire Hall of Famer.

New Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo has already hinted at potentially drafting a quarterback this year. One of the various positions of need for New England ever since Tom Brady departed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ahead of the 2020 season.

4. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have two first-round picks and 10 total picks in the 2024 NFL Draft following their 4-13 finish last season. Giving the franchise a tremendous opportunity to rebuild their roster ahead of the season.

Quarterback and former Offensive Rookie of the Year Kyle Murray returned in 2023 after suffering a season-ending knee injury the year prior. And with many anticipating the first three picks of the draft to be quarterbacks, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. could be available Arizona as a potential gamebreaking weapon for Murray.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Who’s got it better than Jim Harbaugh? The Los Angeles Chargers’ new head coach who just led Michigan to a national championship and now holds a top-five pick in his return season to the NFL.

The Chargers finished 5-12 last season highlighted by an injury to quarterback Justin Herbert. But with a talented roster, various needs on both sides of the ball, and a less-than-favorable salary cap situation, Los Angeles could go in a ton of various directions with their first-round pick.

6. New York Giants

Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

After making the playoffs in 2022 in their first year under Brian Daboll, the New York Giants finished 6-11 in 2023 after losing quarterback Daniel Jones to a season-ending injury in Week 8. Forcing New York to start three different quarterbacks last season.

The Giants signed Jones to a four-year, $160 million contract extension last offseason. But general manager Joe Schoen did recently say that New York will be adding a quarterback to their roster through free agency or the draft.

7. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are another team in the top 10 that’s made various big-time organizational changes ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. as Ran Carthon was named as the franchise’s executive vice president and general manager and Brian Callahan as their next head coach.

The Titans have several needs worth addressing with the No. 7 overall pick and have drafted four quarterbacks in the last six seasons. With Tennessee also having to potentially addresses losing star running back Derrick Henry to free agency following his goodbye to fans at the end of the season.

8. Atlanta Falcons

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons are the fourth team picking in the top 10 of the first round that will have a new head coach in 2023. With Raheem Morris rejoining the franchise after being the Falcons’ defensive coordinator and interim head coach for 11 games in 2020.

The quarterback position seems like the clear biggest need for the Falcons ahead of the 2024 season after both Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke started under center for Atlanta leading the team to a 7-10 finish. And it will be very interesting to see if Atlanta decides to draft a passer who they could surround with their three-straight offensive skill players selected with their first round picks in the past three NFL Drafts.

9. Chicago Bears

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago’s second first-round pick comes at the No. 9 spot in the draft after finishing the 7-10 last season. Further providing the Bears with a variety of options and moves ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Fields will continue to be a large determining factor on what Chicago decides to do in the first round. With the Bears having a 16-35 record in their last three seasons with Fields under center and Williams likely to draw plenty of trade potential with the No. 1 overall pick.

10. New York Jets

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets round out the top 10 selections of the draft after the 2023 season went in the opposite direction than they imagined. With star quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffering a season ending injury just a few plays into his tenure with the team after acquiring him through an offseason trade.

The Jets still boast one of the NFL’s strongest defenses comprised with plenty of young talent. With many wondering if the franchise will help out Rogers on the offensive side of the ball by drafting an offensive lineman or a pass catcher with their top 10 pick.
