2025 Final X freestyle wrestling matchups set after World Team Trials Finals

The 2025 Final X matchups in freestyle wrestling are set following the World Team Trials Finals on Saturday. We are one step closer to determining Team USA for 2025.

Final X features best-of-three matches in each weight class to determine the USA representative for the World Championships this year. US Open winners, or returning medalists for the Olympics/Worlds were automatically put into Final X, should they have accepted their bids. Meanwhile, the US Open and World Team Trials were there to determine the opponent.

The matchups are now set across each weight for freestyle, men and women. The only TBD right now is the pending matchup for 97 KG due to 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist Kyle Snyder’s arrest. He is temporarily suspended via SafeSport, so his status for Final X is up in the air.

Final X 2025 takes place on June 14th in Newark, New Jersey. The Prudential Center will be the host site for one of the best events in wrestling, domestically.
