Georgia has a win total that might look a little low as compared to recent seasons for the ‘Dawgs.

Per the lines at FanDuel, the Bulldogs have a win total set at 9.5 wins. Over 9.5 wins has odds of (-186) while Under 9.5 wins has odds of (+144). For reference, they’re in a three-way tie for the highest total in the SEC with Texas as well as Tennessee.

Again, that number could be a bit low considering their recent history under Kirby Smart. Georgia has averaged 10.3 wins in the regular season over their nine seasons under Smart. They’ve hit double-digits in seven of his nine, including three undefeated regular seasons from 2021 to 2023. This past season was their fewest since before that run with 10 in 2024. The only two in which they didn’t reach that total during this span was his debut when they won seven in 2016 and then the pandemic year when they won seven in just nine games in 2020.

There are reasons as to why the Bulldogs will be right back at that number again in ’25. They retain much of their coaching staff while bringing in 28 signees in the No. 2 class in On3’s 2025 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings as well in six players in the NCAA Transfer Portal, including two top-ten receivers and top overall transfers in Zachariah Branch (USC) and Noah Thomas (Texas A&M). Those two will join a re-worked receiving corps to pair with other quality, returning weapons like RB Nate Frazier and TEs Oscar Delp and Lawson Luckie.

However, Georgia also will have to replace multiple pieces from last year’s team as well. That obviously starts at quarterback with either Gunner Stockton or Ryan Puglisi after two seasons with Carson Beck. That also applies to what they lost on the offensive line as well as a couple spots on their defense.

Plus, UGA will play a difficult schedule again in 2025. They won’t play a major non-conference matchup besides their season finale at Georgia Tech. They will then flip their conference schedule from this past season, though, with that meaning matchups against Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas with all of those teams either already competitive or set to be improved next fall. With that, they do get the Crimson Tide, Gators, Rebels, and Longhorns all between the hedges. They’ll then go to The Plains and Rocky Top during the first half of the season.

Georgia has been about as consistent as any program over the past eight years with them consistently around that ten-win threshold. That’s exactly where their upcoming win total is set again with FanDuel having them at 9.5 wins come kickoff.
