2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds: Betting lines updated after Martinsville

The odds for who will stand above the field as the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion have been updated. Denny Hamlin’s win in the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway certainly switched up the betting lines.
The 44-year-old notched victory No. 55 in dominating fashion, as there was never a doubt throughout the final stage in Virginia on Sunday. The Chesterfield native needed a solid performance at one of his home tracks, and that’s exactly what Hamlin delivered. Now, his spot in the playoffs is secure, as he chases his first career Cup Series title in 2025.
After all the action, FanDuel Sportsbook has released their updated betting lines for which driver will stand above all at the end of the year as champion. Here’s where each wheelman stands following the Cook Out 400, with a trip to Darlington Raceway on the docket for next weekend.

Christopher Bell (+350)
Christopher Bell has become a threat each time the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Martinsville Speedway. He came close to his fourth win of 2025, but his teammate Denny Hamlin held him off for just long enough. Bell still came home as the runner-up, which is nothing to scoff at.
Moving forward to Darlington, Bell has never won at the South Carolina-based track. He did finish P3 at the venue last September though. It was his best finish in 11 attempts, so maybe he figured something out that he can use this weekend.
Kyle Larson (+380)

Kyle Larson seems to be back in the groove. After an uneven start to the season, the Hendrick Motorsports star won at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Then, Larson followed that up with a top five at Martinsville this past weekend, ending up P5 when the checkered flag waved in Virginia.
Over the course of his Cup Series career, Larson has found immense success at Darlington. He has three runner-up finishes, but those all came before his first win at the track in September of 2023. We’ll see if win No. 2 is on the docket this time around.
William Byron (+650)
William Byron usually has a ton of fun when Martinsville rolls around on the schedule for the NASCAR Cup Series. That wasn’t the case this time around. The Hendrick Motorsports star finished P22 in the Cook Out 400, a tough afternoon for him.
The reigning back-to-back Daytona 500 winner has one win at Darlington, and that came in 2023. He’s usually more than solid in South Carolina, so expect Byron to get back on track with the Cup Series heading to The Lady in Black.
Ryan Blaney (+750)
Ryan Blaney had to start back in P32 at Martinsville, but he fought his way through the field during the Cook Out 400. He never was able to contend for the win, but Blaney finished P11 on the afternoon. That’s not too shabby of a performance after some immense bad luck in the first couple of weeks of the season.
Darlington was unkind to Blaney in 2024. He finished P36 and P37 in the two trips the Cup Series made to South Carolina. Anything would be better than that, so the former NASCAR Cup Series champion is hoping to hit his stride this time around.
Denny Hamlin (+800)

Denny Hamlin rose above the rest of the field and returned to Victory Lane at Martinsville Speedway for the first time in a decade over the weekend. The 44-year-old notched win No. 55 of his career, clinching his spot in the playoffs as he chases his first career title in the NASCAR Cup Series.
This will be Hamlin’s 26th time racing at Darlington. He has four wins at the track. His most recent one came in 2021, so we’ll see if Hamlin can get to Victory Lane for the second week in a row after Martinsville was good to him.
Chase Elliott (+1000)
Chase Elliott qualified P2 over the weekend, and it was obvious his team brought a car capable of winning to Martinsville Speedway. He was able to secure a top five, finishing P4 on the afternoon. He’ll take it, even though he would’ve preferred to get to the podium, at least.

Unfortunately for Elliott, Darlington isn’t one of his better tracks. He’s only finished in the top three once in 16 tries. Time will tell if he can have a better experience this time around in 2025.
Tyler Reddick (+1000)
Martinsville hasn’t been the top track for Tyler Reddick throughout his NASCAR Cup Series tenure. He had some reservations about returning to the track this past weekend, but the 23XI Racing wheelman was able to notch a solid finish, ending up P14 when it was all said and done.
Over the course of his Cup Series career, Reddick has performed admirably at Darlington. He has two runner-up finishes at The Lady in Black. Perhaps he can do one position better in South Carolina this coming weekend.
Joey Logano (+1200)

The three-time Cup Series champion notched his first top ten of the season at Martinsville. Joey Logano was able to fight throughout the afternoon and finish P8, as he looks to get his season on track throughout the first month and change of the season.
Darlington is a track where Logano has a wealth of experience. This will be his 23rd time racing at The Lady in Black. He only has one win, but don’t count out the Penske Racing star in South Carolina when the green flag drops.
Josh Berry (+2600)
Josh Berry had been riding a hot streak in 2025, but that came to an end this past weekend. The Wood Brothers Racing wheelman didn’t have it in Martinsville, unfortunately. His No. 21 Ford came home P33 after starting P14. A major disappointment.
Throughout his NASCAR career, Darlington has been a mixed bag. He’s finished P30, P3 and P31 in three tries at the track. He’s hoping the podium finish outweighs the back-marker performance in 2025.
Ross Chastain (+2800)
Ross Chastain returned to the scene of the Hail Melon, and it was a fruitful afternoon for the Trackhouse Racing star. He finished P6 at Martinsville, outpacing his qualifying performance, as he started P17. A more than solid performance for the Florida native.
While it seems like Chastain is a young wheelman, this will actually be his 12th time racing at Darlington in the Cup Series. His best finish was P3, but when he was racing with Chip Ganassi Racing. He does have two top-five finishes with Trackhouse Racing though, so we’ll see if they can rise above and get a win this time around.
