2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds: Betting lines updated prior to Daytona 500
With the Daytona 500 taking place this weekend, kicking off another exciting crusade for the NASCAR Cup Series, FanDuel Sportsbook has released their betting lines for which driver will stand above all at the end of the year as champion.
Last season, Joey Logano overcame a slow start with a torrent performance in the playoffs, capturing his third Cup Series title in the process. It was controversial, as many panned NASCAR’s playoff format in the wake of Logano’s win, but he has the trophy, and he’ll always be remembered as 2024’s champion.
Will the Team Penske wheelman notch his fourth title, or will someone like Kyle Larson or Christopher Bell unseat Logano? Time will tell, but here’s where the odds stand at the moment, prior to the start of the season this weekend at Daytona International Speedway.
Kyle Larson (+500)
Six wins wasn’t enough to lead Kyle Larson to his second NASCAR Cup Series title in 2024. He might’ve been the best driver throughout the course of the season, but it was Joey Logano who won the championship, and that’s what the record books will reflect.
Still, Larson has won in the court of public opinion, due to his vast ability on a number of different track types. He’s FanDuel’s favorite to win the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series title, and it’s tough to argue with him having the shortest odds entering the year.
Christopher Bell (+600)
One of the unsung heroes in NASCAR over the past couple of seasons, Christopher Bell has proven to be an incredible wheelman. His talent has been undeniable since taking over the No. 20 for Joe Gibbs Racing, and he’s made it to the Championship 4 multiple times over the past few seasons.
While last season’s controversy at Martinsville kept him out of the dance at Phoenix, Bell is expected to return with a vengeance. He’s not going to take any prisoners in 2025, and that’s why FanDuel is high on the JGR star once again.
William Byron (+750)
William Byron has elevated to become one of NASCAR’s best over the past couple of seasons. While it hasn’t translated to a championship yet, it feels like his time is coming, as the No. 24 wheelman has been in the Championship 4 each of the past two seasons.
With the full power of Hendrick Motorsports behind him, Byron’s biggest competition may be his teammates. If he can put it all together in 2025, there may not be a better bet than Willy B ahead of the Daytona 500.
Ryan Blaney (+750)
Ryan Blaney came close to winning back-to-back championships last season, but he fell just short of being able to catch his teammate Joey Logano at Phoenix. Still, Blaney’s crusade proved his 2023 title was no fluke, and he’s ready to get back to the top of the sport in 2025.
Starting with the Daytona 500 is always interesting for Blaney, as he’s come close to winning The Great American Race multiple times in his career. Finally breaking through the glass ceiling and capturing his first Harley J. Earl Trophy would be a tremendous way to start a championship season.

Denny Hamlin (+850)
Daytona has never been a problem for Denny Hamlin. He has multiple wins in the 500, but when it comes to capping off a season with a championship, he’s struggled mightily over the course of his Cup Series career.
He’s still chasing that elusive first title. Time isn’t slowing down for Hamlin, but his ability still remains among the best in the spot. FanDuel is confident he’ll be among the top contenders once again this season.
Joey Logano (+950)
It took forever for drivers, pundits and fans alike to take Joey Logano seriously as a championship contender in 2024. He kept chipping away, and in the end he played the system perfectly, capturing his third title after a slow start to the season.
You can complain about it all you want, but it won’t change the fact that Logano is the reigning Cup Series champion. The No. 22 wheelman is hoping to go back to back, and bring No. 4 home. Even though it’s not an even year, FanDuel believes he has a shot.
Tyler Reddick (+950)
Tyler Reddick has elevated to become one of the premier drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series. Under the 23XI Racing banner, he’s become the star of the team, outshining Bubba Wallace and earning the adulation of Michael Jordan over the past two seasons.
He became the regular season champion in 2024, and made it all the way to the Championship 4. His performance at Phoenix left a lot to be desired, but Reddick is more motivated than ever to get the job done in 2025. Perhaps he’s a good value play, as his odds could go up after a hot start to the season.
Chase Elliott (+1100)
Chase Elliott never felt particularly dominant in 2024, but he was damn well consistent. He only won one race, but he still was among the top drivers last season. He’s certainly looking for more as 2025 rolls around.
He’s the sport’s most popular driver, and perhaps being outshined by his Hendrick Motorsports teammates in Kyle Larson and William Byron will light a fire under him. Elliott has the ability, but he’ll need to win some more races to win championship No. 2 in 2025.
