NBA Mock Draft AFI
On3

There is never a dull night in the NBA, even away from the court. Monday was the latest example with the lottery taking place. The 2025 NBA Draft order has been set, headlined by the Dallas Mavericks having the No. 1 overall pick.

With the lottery results now official, ESPN has released an updated mock draft. All 59 selections are included from Dallas to the Houston Rockets at the end of the second round.

June 25 is when the NBA Draft will take place in Brooklyn, NY. Here is how ESPN sees things unfolding from the Barclays Center.

1. Dallas Mavericks – Duke F Cooper Flagg

From the get-go, Flagg has been the class’ top prospect. He more than lived up to the hype in Durham, both individually and with the Blue Devils, making the Final Four.

Dallas now gets to take Flagg and find a new face of the franchise. Months after trading away Luka Doncic, a new star will make his way to the Lone Star State.

2. San Antonio Spurs – Rutgers G Dylan Harper

Another surprise team inside the top four, San Antonio fell just short of the Flagg sweepstakes. Picking No. 2 overall is not too bad of a consolation prize, though.

ESPN projects the Spurs will take Harper, one of the best offensive players available. Harper shot over 48% from the field during the 2024-2025 season, translating well to the NBA game.

3. Philadelphia 76ers – Rutgers F Ace Bailey

Bailey is the second half of the Rutgers duo who entered the year with a ton of hype. Philadelphia might wind up taking whichever one San Antonio does not — in this case, it’s Bailey.

The Sixers entered the draft lottery needing positive results or their pick would have gone elsewhere. Moving up to third is more than satisfactory, hoping to get another great player.

4. Charlotte Hornets – Baylor G VJ Edgecombe

The word to describe Edgecombe would be athleticism. Not many players are going to test better during the process as Edgecombe is as explosive as they come.

Charlotte was one of the teams with a 14% chance of earning the first pick. Dropping to four is a disappointment but the front office must quickly move on to make the right selection.

5. Utah Jazz – Oklahoma G Jeremiah Fears

SEC play was as difficult as any conference of all time this season. Making what Fears did as a true freshman in Norman all the more impressive.

Fears was ranked highly coming out of high school but did reclassify from the 2025 cycle. Porter Moser did his job of getting the guard into the lottery, sneaking into the top five per ESPN.

6. Washington Wizards – Texas G Tre Johnson

Just across the Red River is another guard with the potential of going inside the top five. Falling just one spot short to Washington, Johnson would get his career started on the East Coast.

Johnson is a pure scorer, leading the SEC at 19.9 points per game. Texas barely snuck into the NCAA Tournament in due to his brilliance, being another one-and-done prospect for the program.

7. New Orleans Pelicans – Duke C Khaman Maluach

Not many better jobs out there than being a center on the same team as Flagg. Maluach has already competed against the world’s best at the Olympics and appears prepared to do so again in the NBA.

New Orleans would be getting an efficient player around the rim, shooting over 70% from the field at Duke. Plenty of dunks will be thrown down when Maluach is rolling to the rim, waiting for an alley oop.

8. Brooklyn Nets – Duke G/F Kon Knueppel

The third Duke player inside the top 10, Knueppel did more for his stock than any of the three as a true freshman. Quietly one of the more important players for Jon Scheyer, Knueppel is safely in the lottery mix.

A shooting slash line of 47.9/40.6/91.4 is going to have any NBA team interested. Kneuppel is hoping to translate right away, no matter where he winds up getting taken.

9. Toronto Raptors – South Carolina F Collin Murray-Boyles

Murray-Boyles is the first player listed in the mock draft to spend more than one season in college. He did not enter the NCAA transfer portal either, playing at South Carolina for two years.

Some position versatility is there for Murray-Boyles. His 6-7 frame does not scream power forward in the NBA as Toronto would have an interesting dynamic on his hands.

10. Houston Rockets (via PHX) – Illinois G Kasparas Jakucionis

Houston was one of the Western Conference’s best teams. Making the playoffs for the first time since 2021 was an accomplishment with such a young roster.

Now, they have another pick in the top 10 due to a trade with the Phoenix Suns. Adding a player such as Jakucionis, who previously played for Barcelona, adds to the talent pool.
