As the college football world prepares for the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff following Sunday’s bracket reveal, many NFL fans are already focusing on the future.

And, following a pivotal Week 14 of NFL action, CBS Sports overhauled its 2025 NFL Mock Draft to reflect the updated draft order with the quarterback-needy Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants both getting their quarterbacks of the future.

Check out the latest NFL Mock Draft, courtesy of CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson:

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (Fla.)

After Jacksonville’s Week 14 win over Tennessee, the Raiders slide into the No. 1 overall spot where they’d get their choice of quarterbacks between Heisman Trophy finalist Cam Ward and Colorado signal caller Shedeur Sanders. And, at least according to this mock, that pick will be Ward.

Ward would be an immediate improvement over what the Raiders had under center in 2024, with both Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell going down with significant injuries amid lackluster seasons. Ward currently leads the NCAA with 36 passing touchdowns and ranks second nationally with 4,319 yards of total offense.

2. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

At No. 2, the Giants would also luck into their future franchise quarterback with Shedeur Sanders, the son of Colorado head coach and NFL legend Deion Sanders. New York is eager to solve its longstanding QB issues after recently cutting former franchise QB Daniel Jones, who has since signed with the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad.

Sanders is a controversial pick but one with plenty of talent and upside after showing elite ability in his last two seasons at Colorado, including an NCAA-leading 74.2 completion percentage, to go along with 35 passing touchdowns and 3,926 yards passing yards this season.

3. New England Patriots: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

With the top two picks going to quarterbacks, the Patriots could be the real winners of Round 1 if Heisman Trophy-favorite Travis Hunter falls to them at No. 3 overall. Wilson described Hunter as “the best athlete – and the best player – in this draft class.”

The versatile Hunter has been a bonafide superstar since leaving high school as the No. 2 overall player in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Hunter is also a Biletnikoff Award finalist after ranking second nationally with 14 receiving touchdowns in 2024.

4. Carolina Panthers: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The Panthers hold pat and get their pass-rushing replacement after Brian Burns left for the Giants last offseason, nabbing a Micah Parsons clone in Carter, who also wore No. 11 with the Nittany Lions.

While Carolina could have their pick of offensive tackles given the team’s desire to provide further protection for second-year QB Bryce Young, CBS believes Carter is the best play in Charlotte.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

The Jaguars fall from first to fifth in the latest draft order following its Week 14 win over the Titans, and miss out on two of the biggest freaks in the entire draft class. Instead, CBS believes Jacksonville too bypasses its chance at a franchise tackle for years to come by instead going defense.

Of course, the Jaguars could do a lot worse than Graham, a plug-and-play defensive tackle who anchored Michigan’s national championship-winning defense a year ago and would provide an immediate lift to a Jacksonville defense that ranks dead-last in the NFL allowing 396.1 yards per game this season.

6. Tennessee Titans: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas

The Titans are the beneficiary of the early run on quarterbacks and defensive linemen, nabbing arguably college football’s most talented offensive tackle in Banks, a physical freak at 6-foot-5 and 313 pounds.

Banks, a three-year starter at Texas, would be a plug-and-play anchor to Tennessee’s offensive line and provide immediate protection for rising third-year quarterback Will Levis.

7. New York Jets: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Two years after nabbing Sauce Gardner in the Top 5, the Jets hit paydirt again with another Top 10-caliber cornerback that could give New York a pair of legit lockdown defenders to man both sidelines

Despite a turf toe injury that forced him to miss the final six games of the regular season, the 6-foot-3 Johnson remains the draft’s top cornerback prospect with favorable comparisons to Denver CB Patrick Surtain Jr., a former five-star product out of Alabama.

8. Cleveland Browns: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Widely considered the second-best tackle in the draft, but not far off from No. 1, the towering 6-foot-6 and 323-pound Campbell is another plug-and-play option along the Browns’ beleaguered offensive line.

While not necessarily as athletic as Banks, the versatile LSU tackle has the ability to play almost anywhere along the line. Wherever he plays, Campbell will provide elite and consistent protection for whoever is under center for the Browns in 2025.

9. Chicago Bears: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Williams is just the next in a long line of elite athletic freaks to come from the Georgia defense, with many drawing NFL comparisons to former No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker.

Wilson described Williams as potentially becoming “the best of the group” among the recent defensive linemen to come out of Athens. And after nabbing its franchise QB last year at No. 1 overall (Caleb Williams), the Bears could use a similar anchor on defense moving forward.

10. New Orleans Saints: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

The NFL Draft’s early run on defensive linemen continues at No. 10, where CBS has the Saints reeling in the gifted Aggie pass-rushing specialist. Wilson noted Scourton’s powerful approach off the line and a flashy inside spin move that had SEC linemen on their heels much of the season.

Scourton would be an immediate help to a Saints defense that currently ranks 30th of 32 teams allowing 380.5 yards per game and ranks in the bottom half of the NFL with 29 sacks this season.
