2025 NFL Draft: CBS Sports releases new mock with trade for No. 1 pick, 32 pick predictions
The latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft from CBS Sports is in and it includes a mock trade up for the No. 1 overall pick in a franchise altering move.
Generally, that involves a move for a quarterback. So in this case, that’s the situation once again but it could finally pay off for this franchise.
Let’s dive into the latest NFL Mock Draft from CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson.
1. Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Ward, QB – Miami
A trade with Jacksonville according to Wilson! The Raiders move up to draft their quarterback of the future in Ward.
Basically, there is no QB in Vegas right now and the team needs a hard reset and a face of the franchise. From Miami to Vegas, this makes sense for Ward, who could be a game changer.
2. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB – Colorado
The Giants also get their new franchise quarterback in Sanders. With the release of Daniel Jones, New York needs a hard reset.
Sanders is arguably the best QB in the draft, but it’ll depend on how they evaluate Ward and Sanders. But the latter’s been highly productive in his two years at Colorado.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT – Texas
Here’s what the trade gets the Jaguars. Sure, there will be draft capital, but the Jags also get their tackle of the future.
Protect Trevor Lawrence at all costs. If there’s any hope they can still unlock him to be the special prospect he was touted to be, you need to keep him upright with the best tackle in the draft.
4. New England Patriots: Travis Hunter, WR/CB – Colorado
Hunter could be the best player in the draft, but he’ll last until the fourth pick in this mock draft. The two-way star wants to play both ways in the pros.
There are arguments for both positions as he’s had a career year on offense and defense. Either way, the Patriots can get a superstar as the rebuild continues.
5. Carolina Panthers: Abdul Carter, EDGE – Penn State
Carter is a scary pass rusher and the Panthers could still use anything and everything. The team is still rebuilding but might’ve figured out QB Bryce Young.
So, why not draft this guy who could be a day one impact starter? Seems like a logical pick for Carolina.
6. Tennessee Titans: Will Campbell, OT – LSU
In order for Will Levis to have a chance to succeed, he needs to be protected. There’s no doubt he’s a wild man, but Campbell could solidify this offensive line.
If you draft an OT, you take Banks or Campbell. Since Campbell is left on the board, don’t pass him up because he won’t last out of the top 10.

7. New York Jets: Mason Graham, DL – Michigan
The Jets could trade up for a QB or simply draft one here if they want to move on from Aaron Rodgers. But, this pick could solidify the defensive line.
Graham is a can’t miss defensive lineman prospect. New York is a mess right now, but this guy could be a culture changer on defense.
8. Cleveland Browns: James Pearce Jr., EDGE – Tennessee
Speaking of dominant guys on your defensive line, this mock draft has Pearce going to Cleveland. Imagine pairing this man with Myles Garrett in 2025?
Scary right? We’ll see what Cleveland does with the QB position, when it comes to Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston.
9. New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams, EDGE – Georgia
The Saints picked it up once Darren Rizzi became the interim head coach. But they are still bound for a high draft pick.
Williams seems like a solid solution in the top 10, beefing up the defense. He’s the latest top tier defensive prospect to come out of Georgia.
10. Cincinnati Bengals: Ashton Jeanty, RB – Boise State
The other Heisman candidate this season had a season for the ages. Jeanty is practically carrying Boise State on his back to a potential playoff spot.
Why not give Joe Burrow another weapon? Make this offense fun with Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins by drafting Jeanty.
