2025 NFL Draft: Clay Matthews trolls Bears with 'message' from President Donald Trump

There was only one thing that had a chance of getting booed harder on Thursday night than Roger Goodell. Live from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, they are not really fans of the Chicago Bears. Whenever the Bears do make their selection, the noise should be quite loud.
Clay Matthews decided to get the trolling party started early, though. Right before Goodell officially opened the 2025 NFL Draft, Matthews took over at the podium. He claimed to have a message from President Donald Trump, one he turned into a hilarious moment.
“I just got off the phone with the President, Donald Trump,” Matthews said. “He asked me to pass a message along to all 32 NFL franchises. So, let me tell you what it reads right here. It says ‘My fellow Americans. The Bears still suck.’ Let’s go!”
In a longstanding rivalry between Chicago and Green Bay, plenty of historic players have been a part of the matchup. Matthews is certainly one of them, enjoying plenty of success against the Bears. He racked up 16 wins against them compared to just three losses.
Only the Minnesota Vikings saw Matthews in the backfield more by 0.5 sacks, putting up 9.5 vs. Chicago. NFC North opponents are glad he is no longer in the league.

Maybe we can add another victory to Matthews’ head-to-head record against the rival. A hilarious moment from him and a creative way to troll the Bears. Whether it was “off script” like Matthews claims or not, the Packers fans certainly got a kick out of the moment.
Roger Goodell takes NFL Draft stage honoring long-standing Packers tradition
The moment has finally arrived for Green Bay. Commissioner Roger Goodell opened up the 2025 NFL Draft, putting the Tennessee Titans on the clock. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is expected to be the selection but before then, Goodell had some fun.
Goodell took the stage on a bike alongside big-time Green Bay fan Lil’ Wayne. A tradition surrounding the Packers organization, there would be no other way to get in front of the podium. Plenty of the franchise’s legends joined them too.
A cool moment for everyone involved, showing off a unique aspect of the Packers. Even so, the boos still rained down from a ton of Green Bay fans in the crowd. You can check out the full moment from Goodell, taking the stage a the 2025 NFL Draft, here.
