2025 NFL Draft: ESPN shakes up Top 50 player rankings following Senior Bowl
On3

ESPN’s Jordan Reid released his updated list of Top 50 players in the 2025 NFL Draft following the Senior Bowl.

It’s an interesting look to see where these players stack up when you have no teams selecting. Just looking at a pure big board, this is how the rank vs. each other, rather than go by draft selection in a mock.

Let’s dive into ESPN’s latest top 50 players in the NFL Draft following the Senior Bowl.

1. Travis Hunter, WR/CB – Colorado

Hunter is the top player in the NFL Draft according to ESPN’s Reid. The two-way star won the Heisman and was seen as the top player in the class anyway.

It’s just a matter if he’ll go No. 1 overall or not depending upon QB needs for some teams. Hunter still plans to play both ways in the NFL.

2. Abdul Carter, EDGE – Penn State

Carter is an elite edge rusher and he might have a claim for best player in the draft over Hunter. It probably depends upon your needs.

Carter is an instant impact type of player, regardless of where he goes. Just don’t let him get to his hometown Philadelphia Eagles! Highly unlikely of course since Carter won’t be getting out of the top five.

3. Mason Graham, DT – Michigan

Graham is the best interior defensive lineman in the draft class. A natural disruptor, Graham has  a national title under his belt and shouldn’t last out of the top five, depending upon the board.

His best attribute is to stuff the run and can be a disruptive pass rusher as well. He’ll likely draw a lot of double teams, even as a rookie.

4. Ashton Jeanty, RB – Boise State

The Heisman runner up might have to actually wait til later in the first round of the draft before he’s selected. But that doesn’t mean he’s not a top five player in this draft.

Jeanty had a special season in 2024, smashing rushing records across the board. He nearly carried Boise State to the CFP semifinals himself. Perhaps with a resurgence of running backs in the NFL, Jeanty will be valuable if he slips to a contending team.

5. Will Johnson, CB – Michigan

Johnson is arguably the best pure cornerback in the NFL Draft. He was just limited to a half season in 2024 due to injury.

Still, it’ll be hard to see Johnson fall out of the top 10 selections when it comes to the actual picks. He has the prototypical build and skill for a Day 1 starter in the NFL.

6. Jalon Walker, EDGE/LB – Georgia

Walker goes into the NFL Draft as Georgia’s most consistent defender in 2024. At this point, according to Reid, he’s shot up the draft boards.

Walker had 6.5 sacks this past season but he’ll need to find the right system in the NFL. He’s more of a hybrid player, but has a ton of potential.

7. Will Campbell, OT/G – LSU

Campbell is the most NFL ready offensive lineman, depending upon who you ask. He’s likely to play offensive tackle to start out, but can certainly play guard at a high level too.

Whoever drafts Campbell gets an NFL-ready lineman, who started for LSU ever since he arrived on campus. As Reid pointed out, his arm length may eventually push him to the inside, but he has a chance to be elite.

8. Tyler Warren, TE – Penn State

Warren is this year’s top tight end and he really came on strong towards the end of the college football season. Will he be a top 10 draft pick? That still remains to be seen.

But pound for pound, Warren is a top prospect. He finished the 2024 season with 104 catches for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns.

9. Cam Ward, QB – Miami

Ward is the top quarterback in the draft, per Reid. Whether you like him or Shedeur Sanders, the general consensus is those two guys above the rest.

Ward could be the No. 1 overall pick if the Titans decide to take a QB to replace Will Levis, a two-year experiment. But don’t expect Ward to fall out of the top five.

10. Walter Nolen, DT – Ole Miss

Nolen spent one season at Ole Miss following the start of his college career at Texas A&M. But he was a baller with the Rebels.

Is he a top 10 player in this draft? Could be debatable, but Reid has him high up. He had 6.5 sacks last season and can be a dominant player on the inside of the defensive line.
