2025 NFL Draft: Field Yates, ESPN shake things up in post-Super Bowl mock draft with new No. 1 pick
On3

The latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft is in from ESPN’s Field Yates after Super Bowl LIX, a 40-22 Philadelphia Eagles win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

So with that, Yates provided an updated look as to how the first round will unfold in April. Get ready for Green Bay as this year’s host!

But since we’re still two-plus months away, let’s dive into the latest mock draft.

1. Tennessee Titans: Travis Hunter, CB/WR – Colorado

Hunter is Yates’ top draft pick here with the Titans getting a franchise star. It’s just a question if Hunter will truly play both ways full time at the NFL level.

Otherwise, you can’t question the kid’s commitment to the craft and how good he is as an overall football player. He can bring juice on offense and has been, mostly, a shutdown corner throughout his time at Colorado.

2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, EDGE – Penn State

The best pass rusher in the NFL was already celebrating a Super Bowl, as an Eagles fan. So if the Browns want a shot at ever winning a title, Carter is a good start.

He’s as good as they come and ironically, he wore no. 11, the same as Micah Parsons. Is this the Cleveland version? Might be coming out of this draft.

3. New York Giants: Cam Ward, QB – Miami

The Giants draft a quarterback! Well, they kind of have to right? Ward is the top QB available in the draft, according to Yates.

Going through multiple stops in college, Ward consistently got better each year and it culminated in a career season with Miami. He’s got the talent to be a franchise star.

4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT – LSU

If you already have the quarterback, then you have to draft a protector of said quarterback. Drake Maye would love more weapons, but he would love to be upright as well.

So that’s why if you’re New England, you select Campbell. Yates made an argument for Campbell to actually be the top overall player in this class and he might not be far off.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT – Michigan

The Jaguars would love to beef up their interior defensive line in this draft and Graham is a can’t miss prospect. He likely won’t last out of the top five and it’d be a stunner to see him outside the top 10.

Graham is a difference maker on defense and you really don’t want to run the football against this man. Oh yeah, he’ll assist the pass rush too!

6. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB – Colorado

So Sanders ends up in Vegas after all in this draft. It just seems like a fit personality wise for the QB doesn’t it? But in reality, the Raiders need a franchise quarterback and Deion’s son is the way to go.

Pete Carroll as the head coach and Chip Kelly as the offensive coordinator? That might be a pretty good situation for the former Colorado quarterback who put up some of the best numbers in college football over the last two years.

7. New York Jets: Mykel Williams, EDGE – Georgia

New head coach Aaron Glenn is going to remodel the Jets scheme wise and personality wise it seems. Aaron Rodgers is likely gone so he’ll go defense first in the draft.

Williams is the pick here and there’s really no question if you’re going defense. Of course, one of his Georgia teammates goes next, but Williams is an elite pass rusher.

8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE/LB – Georgia

Speaking of Georgia, Walker is next up in the draft per Yates. However, teams need to find the right position for him in the NFL.

He can be a great EDGE rusher, but there might be some concern about his length. Still, a player of this caliber, you have to be able to mold him to the defense.

9. New Orleans Saints: Tetairoa McMillan, WR – Arizona

Kellen Moore will be the new head coach so naturally, the former Eagles OC wants to go offense in this draft. Add a weapon to whoever the quarterback is going to be.

McMillan is arguably the best WR in this draft. The Saints definitely need one who can be a game changer amid injured, albeit talented, pass catchers already in the building.

10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT – Texas

Just like the Patriots, the Bears have to draft somebody to protect their franchise quarterback Caleb Williams. Banks is the answer here if Chicago can’t get Campbell.

Banks was elite at Texas and he only gave up four pressures on 510 pass blocking snaps last season. His length is the only concern so there is some chatter about him becoming a guard.
