Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt ranked his top five tight ends with a shakeup at the top. There’s some serious talent at this position this season.

Michigan’s Colston Loveland took over the top spot for Klatt and he could very well be a first round pick at this point. He passed the popular tight end Tyler Warren.

It seems like there are at least two first round talents at tight end. Without further ado, let’s dive into Klatt’s rankings.

1. Colston Loveland, Michigan

Michigan’s offense was certainly up and down throughout the season, particularly in the passing game. But Loveland was a productive tight end.

He quietly had a great year during their national title run in 2023 and Loveland finished ‘24 with 56 catches, 582 yards, five touchdowns and 10.4 yards per catch. He finished his career with 117 catches, 1,466 yards, 11 touchdowns and 12.5 yards per catch.

2. Tyler Warren, Penn State

Warren was arguably the best tight end all year, but he’s Klatt’s No. 2 now. The Nittany Lion really rose to superstardom during the College Football Playoff as Penn State made a run to the semifinals.

He was a reserve player until this past season. Then, Warren went off with 104 catches, 1,233 yards, eight touchdowns, 11.9 yards per catch and even 26 carries for 218 yards and four touchdowns.

3. Mason Taylor, LSU

Taylor was maybe a bit under the radar as a tight end this season. His stats weren’t gaudy, but he was productive for his role at LSU.

Taylor set career highs this past season with 55 catches, 546 yards, two touchdowns and 9.9 yards per catch. He finished his career with 129 catches for 1,308 yards, six touchdowns and 10.1 yards per catch.

4. Terrance Ferguson, Oregon

Oregon had a heck of a year, going undefeated and winning the Big Ten. Ferguson played a key role at tight end, it just unfortunately didn’t end with a national title.

Ferguson ended the season with 43 catches, 591 yards, three touchdowns and 13.7 yards per catch. Over the course of his career, Ferguson had 134 catches, 1,537 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11.5 yards per catch.

5. Elijah Arroyo, Miami

Arroyo rounds out Klatt’s list of tight ends going into the NFL Draft. He was a full time starter in 2024 and made it count.

He finished the season with 35 catches for 590 yards, seven touchdowns and 16.9 yards per catch. He could be a steal in the mid rounds in April!
