Mock Draft AFI2

Joel Klatt has updated his predictions for the 2025 NFL Draft. The FOX Sports analyst released his Mock Draft 2.0 following some familiar faces finding new homes during the first wave of NFL Free Agency.

A bevy of changes are visible at the top of Klatt’s latest mock. First off, he moved former Miami quarterback Cam Ward to his top spot, choosing to keep the Tennessee Titans in his top spot. Previously, he had the Giants trading for the top pick and selecting former Colorado star Shedeur Sanders. Luckily for New York, they still land Sanders at No. 3, according to Klatt.

All told, Klatt’s full Mock Draft 2.0 was revealed during a recent episode of his podcast, The Joel Klatt Show: A College Football Podcast. Check out every pick below, from the Titans at No. 1, to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 32.

1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

The Titans trading back for some extra picks has lost some steam over the past couple of weeks. The groupthink is that they’ll stick at No. 1 and enter a new era by selecting quarterback Cam Ward first overall, and that’s what Klatt is rolling with.

New Tennessee general manager Mike Borgonzi would start his tenure off with a bang, delivering a highly-touted signal-caller to head coach Brian Callahan. Ward has proven at multiple stops he’s worthy of being a top selection, and his time in Miami only further drove that point home.

2. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Prior to the extension Myles Garrett received, the Browns were a popular destination for Abdul Carter. Now, Klatt believes they go in a different direction, selecting two-way star Travis Hunter to give them an edge on both sides of the football.

Quarterback is certainly an option here, as well. Shedeur Sanders would provide some hope at the position, but Kirk Cousins is someone to keep an eye on if the Atlanta Falcons move on. At the moment though, Klatt thinks the former Buffaloes star is the best option for Cleveland.

3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Giants would love to trade to No. 1 and guarantee themselves the quarterback of their choosing in the 2025 NFL Draft. They struck out on Matthew Stafford, and it remains to be seen what Aaron Rodgers decides, but either way, New York would love to land Shedeur Sanders, like Klatt is predicting.

It would be risky to stick at No. 3 and hope the former Colorado star falls to them, but this is a scenario Joe Schoen would certainly sign up for. The embattled Giants general manager needs to get a quarterback or two this offseason, and Sanders fits the bill.

4. New England Patriots: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

While Drake Maye needs some help on offense, Abdul Carter would be tough to pass up. He’d give the Patriots an immense edge on the defensive side of the football, and that’s what they need in a division that Josh Allen has been dominating over the past couple of seasons.

The reining NFL MVP would be shaking in his boots if Carter goes to New England. He might be the best player in the entire draft, and Patriot fans would love to see Klatt’s prediction come true when April rolls around.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The top true cornerback in the NFL Draft this season, Will Johnson has been destined for stardom at the top level for a number of seasons. The Jaguars had immense success picking Jalen Ramsey at the top of the NFL Draft in the past, and they’d be hoping the former Michigan star ends up on a similar trajectory.

It’s certainly a new era for Jacksonville, as Liam Coen will be calling the shots in 2025. They’re hoping for a better offensive season, but shoring up their secondary could be the move at the top of the draft, and that’s where Klatt has them going.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Back-to-back for the Michigan Wolverines in Klatt’s latest mock. Mason Graham would be a money selection for the Raiders at No. 6, who need to be better than they’ve been on defense, especially considering the intense offenses they face in the AFC West throughout the season.

This has been a popular spot for quarterbacks in the last couple of months, but the addition of Geno Smith may have doused some water on those rumors. Don’t rule out a move for a signal-caller in the second round though.

7. New York Jets: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Jets decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers, paying Justin Fields a boatload of money for a chance at him being their quarterback of the future. It might be the best opportunity Fields has had in the NFL, and New York is hoping to see him take the bull by the horns.

What’s the best way to ensure that happens? Protecting the young quarterback. After bringing Olu Fashanu to town in the first round in 2024, Will Campbell would provide the Jets with star bookends along their offensive line, if it all works out as Klatt thinks it could.

8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

The Panthers seemed like they would be in the market for a quarterback midway through the 2024 season, but Bryce Young quieted those concerns. They’ve improved their offense by leaps and bounds, but their defense could use some work heading into a new season.

After missing out on Milton Williams in a surprising turn of events in free agency, Jalon Walker would be a nice pick for Carolina. No, they’re not the same type of player, but the former Georgia star could be an instant-impact play-maker for the NFC South squad.

9. New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Derek Carr seems to be on track to be the Saints quarterback again in 2024, and while it’s not the sexiest option, the New Orleans offense isn’t the biggest worry for the team this season. They need to shore up their defense, and Klatt has them doing so by picking Mykel Williams out of Georgia.

Brandon Staley will be entrusted to lead the team’s defense into a bounce-back season, and he should be chomping at the bit to get the former Bulldogs star on the team. Kellen Moore appeases his defensive coordinator here, as the offense is littered with veterans at the moment.

10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas

The great offensive line awakening in Chicago continues. Klatt believes another lineman will head to the Windy City in the 2025 NFL Draft, as he predicted former Texas star Kelvin Banks Jr. will be the pick, as Ben Johnson wants to get his hands on as many protectors as possible for Caleb Williams.

Throughout his time in college football, Banks has been earmarked to go early when it was time for him to enter the NFL Draft. The top ten is a good spot for him, and Chicago would be a great fit, if Klatt’s forecast comes to fruition.
