2025 NFL Draft: Mel Kiper releases Mock 2.0, updated predictions for all 32 first-round picks before NFL Combine

ESPN’s Mel Kiper released his NFL Mock Draft 2.0 and updated his predictions for all 32 first round picks ahead of the Scouting Combine.
There were some shakeups throughout Kiper’s predictions and evaluations in the first round. That included a massive move for a quarterback for one team!
Without further ado, let’s dive into Kiper’s latest mock draft.
1. Tennessee Titans: Abdul Carter, EDGE – Penn State
Carter is the top pick for Kiper in this mock draft. The Titans pretty much need everything at this point and while they’re a candidate for a QB, take the best player.
Over recent weeks, Carter’s ability as a pass rusher has been closely examined. He’s a player that could be special in the NFL.
2. Cleveland Browns: Cam Ward, QB – Miami

The Browns need a quarterback after the Deshaun Watson experiment turned into a disaster. Ward is considered the top QB in the class.
That’s where Kiper goes with the No. 2 pick. Ward consistently got better throughout his college career and topped it off with a Heisman-worthy campaign at Miami.
3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB/WR – Colorado
Hunter, other than Carter, might be the best player in the draft. He can play both ways, won a Heisman and wants to play offense and defense in the pros.
So the Giants, despite needing a quarterback, unless they go the free agent route, grab Hunter according to Kiper. This is likely the furthest Hunter will fall and Kiper doesn’t have him going any further than No. 3 in this mock draft.
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT – LSU
The Patriots need to protect franchise quarterback Drake Maye so naturally, they draft an offensive tackle. Kiper has Campbell going first and within the top five of his latest mock draft.
He’s a natural offensive lineman and has the ability to play tackle and guard. Either way, the Patriots have to beef up the offensive line.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars, Mason Graham, DT – Michigan

The Jaguars have to get better. Simple as that. They have some pieces, but nothing has gelled. So, Kiper goes with a defensive star in his latest mock draft.
Graham is a tone setter and a very disruptive defensive lineman. He can stuff the run and rush the passer, despite playing inside.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB – Boise State
The Raiders need some stars right? So, Kiper gave them a star in Jeanty in this mock draft, who set rushing records for Boise State and was second in the Heisman voting.
Perhaps Vegas gets a quarterback in free agency, like Sam Darnold or Justin Fields for example, and then gets Jeanty to hand the ball off to as well. Not a bad combination.

7. New York Jets: Shedeur Sanders, QB – Colorado
Here’s the big one in Kiper’s newest mock draft. Sanders isn’t expected to fall out of the top 10, but this is certainly the furthest we’ve seen him go among mocks.
Sanders will be the new New York star but it won’t be for the Giants. The Jets get their Aaron Rodgers replacement with an accurate quarterback who’s been one of the best passers in college football over the last few years.
8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, LB – Georgia

The Panthers seem to have Bryce Young figured out, so Kiper pivoted to the defensive side of the ball for this mock. Walker is a talent you don’t want to let out of your sight.
Now with the news LB Shaq Thompson won’t come back, the Panthers need somebody who can get after the quarterback. Kiper noted the Panthers could go WR here if free agency is focused on defense.
9. New Orleans Saints: Tyler Warren, TE – Penn State
Kellen Moore had a heck of a time utilizing tight ends in the Eagles’ offense in 2024. Warren is the best one available in this draft.
Kiper slotted him to the Saints, giving the offense some juice. It’ll be curious to see how New Orleans remakes this side of the ball for 2024.
10. Chicago Bears: Josh Simmons, OT – Ohio State
Just like the Patriots, the Bears need to protect their franchise quarterback. Caleb Williams gets his guy in Simmons, who could be an instant starter.
As Kiper pointed out, Simmons is coming off an injury, but if he’s at his best, he’ll be a stalwart on the line. Don’t let him go Bears!
