2025 NFL Draft: Mel Kiper reveals Top 10 QB rankings after Week 11 of college football
As the 2024 football season continues to progress, there’s more and more game tape on some of the top 2025 NFL Draft prospects. And ESPN analyst Mel Kiper is there to break it all down.
Kiper recently released his list of the top NFL Draft prospects, including his current top 10 at quarterback.
Let’s take a look today specifically at that position, with Mel Kiper’s Top 10 quarterbacks ranking.
1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
This week Colorado withstood a tough first half and worked its way back into the game against Texas Tech. And the win on Saturday gave the team control of its fate in the Big 12 title race. That’s huge for Sanders and company from an exposure standpoint.
For his part, Sanders added 291 yards passing, three passing touchdowns and a rushing score to his season tally. He’s now at 2,882 yards passing with 24 touchdowns, as well as four scores on the ground. And his skills will translate better than most to the next level, making him Mel Kiper’s top quarterback.
2. Cam Ward, Miami
Ward’s late-game heroics weren’t on their typical display on Saturday, as Miami fell to Georgia Tech for its first loss of the season. Ward was plenty good enough himself, throwing for 348 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.
That Miami has such a quality record remains a testament to Ward and the kind of production he has brought to the table. On the year he’s just shy of 3,500 passing yards, with 32 touchdowns passing and three rushing. That’s Heisman Trophy-type production and will land him squarely on the NFL radar.
3. Jalen Milroe, Alabama
If you need a Heisman Trophy performance in the final month of the season to win the iconic award, Milroe might have just had his. He was electric in a big road win over LSU, one that kept Alabama firmly in the College Football Playoff hunt.
He finished the game with 109 yards passing and 185 yards and four touchdowns rushing. He broke the Alabama school record for most rushing touchdowns in a season by a quarterback, recording his 16th on the season. Mel Kiper has him third among the quarterbacks.
4. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
The LSU quarterback has had better stretches of games than the last two weeks, but he remains high on Mel Kiper’s list of quarterbacks. Nussmeier has thrown five interceptions in the last two games and nine in the past five games.
Still, he’s shown some real willingness to hang in the pocket to make tough throws. And when his protection is good, he’s sharp enough to lead a team right down the field. You just wish there was a touch more consistency right now.
5. Quinn Ewers, Texas
There had been some questions about Ewers’ deep ball accuracy in recent weeks and while those concerns haven’t been fully put to rest Ewers did a nice job erasing doubts with a five-touchdown performance against Florida. He appears to be rounding into form after his earlier injury.
On the season, Ewers has thrown for 1,722 yards and 19 touchdowns, against six interceptions. He’s also run for one score, getting it done multiple ways.
6. Carson Beck, Georgia
Like Nussmeier, Beck is on a bit of a troublesome stretch. He has 12 interceptions in the last six games, including nine in the last four. He just hasn’t looked fully comfortable in a while, and it’s not all due to protection issues.

Even so, Beck is putting up big numbers. He has thrown for 2,488 yards and 17 touchdowns, against 12 interceptions. He has also run for 39 yards, though he has yet to record a rushing touchdown. His size and athletic profile help get him on Mel Kiper’s list.
7. Drew Allar, Penn State
Outside of a three-interception performance against USC, Allar has been pretty good at taking care of the football from the quarterback position. He has thrown just one interception in the last month since that USC win.
Allar might not have taken as big a step forward yet as some expected, but there’s still a lot of untapped potential. That keeps him high on Mel Kiper’s list.
8. Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
Rourke returned to action a week ago and was impressive. He wasn’t quite as sharp in a win over Michigan, but the key thing is it was a win… Indiana’s 10th this season. The Hoosiers are a definite College Football Playoff contender.
Against the Wolverines, Rourke threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, though he did throw an interception. He was also sacked four times, a season-high for a guy who hasn’t been taken down in the backfield all that much.
9. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
The Ole Miss quarterback scared everyone when he went down hurt after throwing an interception in the first quarter against Georgia. But he reentered the contest and showed some real grit playing through the injury.
Dart finished the game 13-of-22 passing for 199 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. He also ran for 50 yards. Most importantly, Ole Miss is once again a College Football Playoff contender, which will increase Dart’s exposure to NFL scouts. Mel Kiper is already pretty high on him.
10. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
Gabriel has closed the gap on the leaders in the Heisman Trophy race a bit and has to be considered within striking distance given Oregon’s ranking atop the polls as the top unbeaten team. This week, Gabriel set the NCAA record for career passing touchdowns.
On the year, Gabriel has thrown for 2,848 yards and 22 touchdowns, against just five interceptions. He’s also run for 148 yards and six scores. He’s getting the job done at a very high level.
