2025 NFL Draft: NFL.com releases new mock draft with trades, twists, significant stock drops

With the calendar officially turning to April, the 2025 NFL Draft is set to take place this month. Just 23 days separate us from Thursday night in Green Bay, when 32 names will be called by Commissioner Roger Goodell. Teams are putting final touches on scouting reports and setting up their big boards.
Mock drafts are only going to ramp up from here. NFL Network’s Lance Zierlein put out his latest on Tuesday with trades, twists, and a few players seeing their stock significantly drop.
Zierlein included three trades in the first round, two of which were for quarterbacks. Let’s get into all 32 picks in the mock draft.
1. Tennessee Titans – Miami QB Cam Ward
For the longest time, the Titans were not projected to take a quarterback. But something has changed in Tennessee as Ward is close to being the consensus No. 1 overall pick going into the draft.
Zierlein: “The writing appears to be on the wall for the Titans to draft Ward, based on the public buzz that’s been building. This would be their third pick used on a quarterback over the past four drafts as they continue their search for ‘the guy’ at the most important position on the field.”
2. Cleveland Browns – Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter

Taking Carter may give Cleveland the best pass rush in football. Alongside Myles Garrett, opposing offensive lines are going to have nightmares for years to come.
Zierlein: “I know the Browns need a quarterback, but Andrew Berry is an analytics-driven GM and seems to me much more likely to see Carter or Travis Hunter as the pick here than one of the quarterbacks beyond Ward.”
3. New York Giants – Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter
Signing two veteran quarterbacks has quieted the idea of taking a quarterback at No. 3. Some have Hunter as the best overall player in this year’s draft class. The biggest question with the Colorado product is what position he will play.
Zierlein: “It seems likely that the Giants will get phone calls from teams looking to move up into this spot, but sitting tight and taking a player who could impact Brian Daboll‘s team on either (or both?) sides of the ball is the play.”
4. New England Patriots – LSU OT Will Campbell
Measurements have been a big discussion surrounding Campbell, specifically his arm length. But New England needs someone to protect Drake Maye and Campbell appears more than qualified.
Zierlein: “I’m sure the Patriots would be more than happy to trade out of this spot, but this might not be a draft in which teams are trying to move up early on. New England could desperately use help at left tackle and takes a hard-nosed player whom Mike Vrabel should love.”
5. Jacksonville Jaguars – Michigan DT Mason Graham

Graham has been a popular name in the draft for a couple of years now. While nothing about his traits stand out at a high level, he is still considered the top interior defensive lineman out there.
Zierlein: “Graham doesn’t have the freakish size, length or athleticism that others might offer, but he’s tough, consistent and productive — and that’s what Jacksonville needs inside.”
6. Las Vegas Raiders – Georgia LB Jalon Walker
Walker was deployed in multiple positions by Kirby Smart in Athens. NFL teams are going to love his athletic ability, hoping to wreck the backfield in a quarterback-loaded NFC West.

Zierlein: “Ashton Jeanty is my favorite player in the draft, but this running back class is very deep. Walker is a hybrid edge/linebacker with the talent and football character to be a building block for the Raiders’ current reset.”
7. New York Jets – Missouri OT Armand Membou
Aaron Glenn is going to build the line of scrimmage up. New York has swung at a few offensive tackles in years past and Zierlein projects another one to end up with the Jets.
Zierlein: “The Jets must run the ball and protect Justin Fields. They could take a shot with Carter Warren as the starting right tackle, but snagging a talent like Membou to plug in on the right side makes more sense, relative to the board.”
8. Carolina Panthers – Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams

Carolina’s need heading into the first round is an obvious one. Somebody needs to rush the passer and a lot of good options will be here at No. 8. Williams appears to be a popular selection, staying close to where his college ball was played.
Zierlein: “Matching the Panthers with the right selection is tough if the board breaks this way; they clearly need pass rush help, so I’ll stick with Williams, my pick for Carolina in the last mock, to bolster the D.”
9. New Orleans Saints – Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell
New Orleans just hired Kellen Moore, an offensive-minded head coach. Moore knows how important pass rush can be, though, fresh off a Super Bowl with Philadelphia. Campbell provides position versatility for the Saints.
Zierlein: “Mulling through the Saints’ options here took some time, but incoming coordinator Brandon Staley is going to need an outside linebacker with top-tier athleticism who can rush the passer and cover for his 3-4 defense. Campbell is the lone guy remaining who fits that profile.”
10. Chicago Bears – Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty’s draft position will be a big storyline during the first round. Zierlein has him just squeaking into the top 10 to give Chicago another big-time offensive weapon.
Zierlein: “The Bears have done a good job improving their offensive line this offseason. The next step toward getting the most from Caleb Williams and that offense should be taking the most explosive playmaker in this draft.”
