With the 2024 NFL regular season winding down, the fans of teams that are out of playoff contention are focused on the 2025 NFL Draft, which will take place outside Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

We are in Week 17 of the season, and the 2025 NFL Draft order is taking shape. Here’s a look at how the draft order looks with one more week left in 2024.

2025 NFL Draft order: Week 18 edition

  1. New England Patriots (3-13)
  2. Tennessee Titans (3-13)
  3. New York Giants (3-13)
  4. Cleveland Browns (3-12)
  5. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-12)
  6. New York Jets (4-12)
  7. Carolina Panthers (4-12)
  8. Las Vegas Raiders (4-12)
  9. Chicago Bears (4-12)
  10. New Orleans Saints (5-11)

Per Pro Football Talk, the Draft picks are awarded in order of lowest winning percentage, and the tiebreaker is the opponents’ winning percentage, with the team that played the easiest schedule getting the No. 1 pick. If the Patriots hold on to the No. 1 pick, they won’t select a quarterback since they drafted Drake Maye in the first round last year. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is projected to be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Giants had the No. 1 pick heading into Week 17 but lost it when they defeated the Indianapolis Colts 45-33 on Sunday. If they can get the top pick back next week, they will likely draft Sanders next year.

Can the Giants get back the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?

“It has to be Shedeur Sanders if you’re the New York Giants,” ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller said on SportsCenter. “We’ve seen a parade of bad quarterback play from them this year. The great thing about Shedeur is he’s been in that spotlight his entire life as the son of Deion Sanders …

“We talk about, can guys handle the New York media market? Yeah, he’s been handling it his entire life, not to mention what he does on the field. He’s surgical as a passer, he’s tough, he’s accurate, he’s smart, he’s a great point guard at the next level. That’s exactly what the New York Giants need with the number one wide receiver Malik Nabers already there.”

The 2025 NFL Draft takes place from April 24-26 in Green Bay. The first round will be on Thursday night, the second and third rounds on Friday night and the final four rounds on Saturday.
