The moment has finally arrived for Green Bay. Commissioner Roger Goodell opened up the 2025 NFL Draft, putting the Tennessee Titans on the clock. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is expected to be the selection but before then, Goodell had some fun.
Goodell took the stage on a bike alongside big-time Green Bay fan Lil’ Wayne. A tradition surrounding the Packers organization, there would be no other way to get in front of the podium. Plenty of the franchise’s legends joined them too.
A cool moment for everyone involved, showing off a unique aspect of the Packers. Even so, the boos still rained down from a ton of Green Bay fans in the crowd. You can check out the full moment from Goodell, taking the stage a the 2025 NFL Draft, here.
For those who are not aware, Packers players usually ride bikes of young fans during training camp. It’s one of the team’s top traditions and occurs on an annual basis. In return, the fans get to have conversations with the NFL players.
“Since 1958, the Green Bay Packers players have struck a unique deal with young fans,” FOX6 in Milwaukee said. “They bargain a ride on a kids’ bicycle out to the practice field in exchange for a quick conversation with an NFL player.”

Even so, NFL fans in attendance cannot help themselves. Booing Goodell might be everyone’s favorite tradition in the entire sport, let alone the draft. Despite playing into the hands of the Green Bay fans, the commissioner still heard from them.
Clay Matthews trolls Chicago Bears ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
There was only one thing that had a chance of getting booed harder on Thursday night than Roger Goodell. Live from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, they are not really fans of the Chicago Bears. Whenever the Bears do make their selection, the noise should be quite loud.
Clay Matthews decided to get the trolling party started early, though. Right before Goodell officially opened the 2025 NFL Draft, Matthews took over at the podium. He claimed to have a message from President Donald Trump, one he turned into a hilarious moment.
“I just got off the phone with the President, Donald Trump,” Matthews said. “He asked me to pass a message along to all 32 NFL franchises. So, let me tell you what it reads right here. It says ‘My fellow Americans. The Bears still suck.’ Let’s go!”
