The Tennessee Titans will have the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

With the Titans’ loss to Houston along with the Patriots’ win over Buffalo, Tennessee will select at No. 1 come the draft in April. With that, New England also fell past the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants who will now be at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.

A 23-14 loss today to the Texans meant that Tennessee finished at 3-14 overall in their first year under Brian Callahan. That included a start at 1-6 before ending this season on a six-game losing streak. Neither side of the football was successful as the defense allowed some of the most points in the league at 27.1 ppg while Will Levis (174.3 YPG, 13 touchdowns, 12 interceptions) struggled before being benched in mid-December besides in today’s season finale.

It’s the franchise’s worst finish in a decade since going 2-14 back in 2014. Tennessee then picked second overall in the 2015 NFL Draft and selected Marcus Mariota, that year’s winner of The Heisman Trophy, out of Oregon.

New England’s win at 23-16 over the Bills was then even more costly than being able to pick at No. 1. The Patriots did get their fourth win of the fall, behind a good outing from QB Joe Milton III, to finish at 4-13. However, Cleveland (3-14) with their loss at Baltimore on Saturday and New York (3-14) with their loss at Philadelphia on Sunday were both able to move past them in the order.

Now, the Titans, along with the Browns, Giants, and Patriots, will have their picks of the top prospects this upcoming spring. That list includes Colorado’s Travis Hunter, two-way star and the reigning winner of the Heisman, and two quarterbacks in Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders among others coming out of college football.

Still, it’ll be Tennessee that’ll be on the clock first from now until draft night in Green Bay on April 24th.
