2025 NFL Draft: Todd McShay breaks down how Cam Ward Pro Day, Russell Wilson signing changed Giants outlook

The 2025 NFL Draft is less than a month away and that means that evaluators like Todd McShay are cranking out content non-stop.. And the longtime NFL Draft analyst shared his thoughts on Wednesday on the Cam Ward Pro Day and how that affected the rest of the draft pecking order.
McShay discussed the topics on “The McShay Show” on Wednesday evening.
McShay on Cam Ward, Russell Wilson dominoes
“It’s not a coincidence that Russell Wilson was signed within hours, not days, hours. They’re all there in South Florida for the workout for Cam Ward and Miami’s Pro Day. It means that they know that the Tennessee Titans aren’t moving out of that No. 1 spot. Maybe there’s increased information or an increased level of concern if you’re the Giants. If you do want Shedeur [Sanders],” McShay began.
If you do think he’s worth the No. 3 overall pick. Both of these quarterbacks are going to be gone at No. 2. At No. 3. Then you’re sitting at No. 3. And then you’ve got the wonderful choice between, still a difficult choice between Abdul Carter, pass rusher, and Travis Hunter, the wide receiver/cornerback,” McShay continued.

“Third possibility is that Shedeur is available at No. 3. Giants just don’t want him. This is the option that I would recommend to Joe and Bryan. If Shedeur is there at three, he’s a really good player. Got a chance to develop into a really good starter in the NFL. But if you’re going to do what’s best for this organization and you have a head coach that can develop quarterbacks. There’s a couple other guys that the grades not that far off and I can do it with Abdul Carter. Or with Travis Hunter,” McShay finished.
More on the Titans and choosing Cam Ward No. 1 overall
“The Titans have become increasingly impressed with Ward and, while they are expected to listen to offers for the No. 1 overall pick, it now would take an even stronger package to acquire the draft’s top selection,” Schefter wrote on X/Twitter. The news of the workout comes after Cam Ward worked out in front of the Titans during Miami’s Pro Day on Monday.
The 2025 NFL Draft will take place from April 24th-26th. It will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
