2025 NFL Draft: Xavier Restrepo signs as undrafted free agent with Tennessee Titans, reunites with Cam Ward

Xavier Restrepo developed himself into being one of the best wide receivers in college football over his half a decade at Miami. Now, coming off the best season of his career as a fifth-year senior, he’ll get his chance to continue that in the NFL.
Restrepo will join his Miami teammate Cam Ward on the Tennessee Titans, signing as an undrafted free agent.
Restrepo left The ‘U as the school’s all-time leader in catches and receiving yardage. He posted 200 receptions for 2,844 yards, good for 14.2 yards per catch and 55.8 per game, for 21 touchdowns in 51 games for the Hurricanes. Most of that came the past two seasons as their leading receiver where Restrepo, a consecutive selection as All-ACC First Team, had 154 catches for 2,219 yards, as the first receiver in the program to ever post back-to-back years with 1,000-plus yards, for 17 scores.
In 2024, Restrepo had a career-best season as part of the No. 1 offense in college football. He had 69 receptions for 1,127 yards, averaging 16.3 yards per catch and 93.9 yards per game, and 11 scores. That would make him a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award and a Consensus All-American, along with who was throwing him those passes in QB Cam Ward.
Restrepo, a native of Deerfield Beach, was the No. 645 recruit as a three-star in the 2020 cycle. He also rated as a Top-115 WR in the class and a Top-100 player out of the state of Florida. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

There was question of how Restrepo would translate into the league with thinking that he could go end up going undrafted. However, he did enough to earn himself a selection with his name coming off the board.
What NFL Draft analysts are saying about Restrepo
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein had Restrepo projected as a priority free agent based on some limitations, namely his speed after much was made of him reportedly running a 4.83 in the 40 at Miami’s Pro Day. Still, his improvement and versatility as a weapon in the slot were enough to get him added into a receiving corps in the NFL.
“Feisty, slot-only target who has maximized his talent and honed his craft,” wrote Zierlein. “Restrepo is a route chef who reeks of urgency and plays faster than the stopwatch times him, but his timed speed will almost surely hurt his draft stock. His footwork, leverage and burst allowed consistent separation from man coverage on the college level but contested catches await him on the next level. His instincts, blitz recognition and talent to scramble open when plays break down will make him a favorite of quarterbacks and play-callers. Subpar length and average measurables could create some hesitation for NFL evaluators, but the lack of speed is a much bigger concern.”
