Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is staying in the AFC in 2025 – and landing with another contender. He is set to sign a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens in free agency, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Hopkins started the 2024 season with the Tennessee Titans before joining the Chiefs via trade. He played 10 games with Kansas City as the franchise made its third straight Super Bowl appearance. During that time, he totaled 437 yards and four touchdowns as a key target for Patrick Mahomes.

Now, Hopkins will look to play a key role in the Ravens’ offense. He’s set to help lead a Baltimore receiving room that already has Zay Flowers and also provide a boost for Lamar Jackson in the passing game.

Hopkins made a name for himself as one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL with the Houston Texans. He rattled off five 1,000-yard seasons in six years, including a career-high 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018.

Ahead of the 2020 season, Hopkins was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, where he emerged as the top receiver for Kyler Murray. He made an immediate impact, tying a career-high with 115 receptions while totaling 1,407 yards and six touchdowns. Two injury-riddled seasons hindered his production, and he joined the Titans in 2022.

Hopkins’ first year in Tennessee was strong, finishing with 1,057 yards and and seven touchdowns. But with questions at the quarterback position in 2023, he had just 610 yards in 16 games. After four games in 2024, he got a change of scenery, heading to the Chiefs following Rashee Rice’s devastating injury.

DeAndre Hopkins joins high-powered Ravens offense

With Zay Flowers coming off a 1,000-yard season and Rashod Bateman entering the final year of his contract, DeAndre Hopkins will now add another high-level target for Jackson in Todd Monken’s scheme. The Ravens dominated on offense last year, fueled by the two-headed monster of Jackson and Derrick Henry in the running game.

That rushing attack helped lead the Ravens to a 12-5 record as Jackson made a strong case for MVP. Their season came to an end in the AFC Divisional Round with a loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Baltimore was the only team in the NFL to top 7,000 yards in 2024 with 7,224 total yards on the season. That includes a league-leading 3,189 on the ground – 1,921 from Henry and 915 from Jackson. They’re back in the fold for 2025, as is Monken after he generated some head-coaching interest during the cycle.
