An interesting group of quarterbacks headline the 2025 NFL Draft, and the NFL Scouting Combine provided an opportunity for them to improve their stock. Some participated in the 40-yard dash, and the fastest times are in.

Two quarterbacks ran the event to start the day, and only one more was in the second group. Big names such as Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart and Quinn Ewers opted not to run the 40-yard dash.

There’s still plenty of intrigue around the quarterback position in this year’s draft behind Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. Here are the fastest 40-yard dash times for quarterbacks at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Brady Cook, Missouri – 4.59 seconds

After leading Missouri to another 10-win season in 2024, Brady Cook will now look to take his talents to the next level. He was also the first quarterback to run a 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, logging a 4.60-second run in the event.

Cook’s best year at Mizzou came in 2023 when he topped 3,000 yards for the first time in his career. He threw for 3,317 yards and 21 touchdowns that season, but injuries got in the way of his 2024 season as his numbers dropped a bit.

Tyler Shough, Louisville – 4.64 seconds

The most experienced quarterback in this year’s draft, Tyler Shough put together a huge 2024 season at Louisville. He finished second among quarterbacks to run the 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, clocking in at 4.64 seconds.

Shough flourished under Jeff Brohm in 2024 following stops at Oregon and Texas Tech during a career that began in 2018. He threw for a career-high 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns, along with just six interceptions.

Seth Henigan, Memphis – 4.76 seconds

A four-year starter at Memphis, Seth Henigan put up big numbers in the American Athletic Conference. As he looks to take his talents to the NFL, he ran a 4.77-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine.

Henigan’s best year at Memphis was in 2023 when he threw for 3,883 yards and 32 touchdowns. All told, over his four years, he threw for 14,266 yards and 104 touchdowns, to just 31 interceptions.

The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine runs through the weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. From there, the sprint is on to Green Bay for the NFL Draft April 24-26.
