2025 NFL Scouting Combine: Top 10 fastest 40-yard dash times for tight ends

The second day of workouts at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine ended with the tight ends. They were the final group to run the 40-yard dash, and the fastest times are in.
The tight end position is considered one of the deepest in this year’s NFL Draft, and Terrance Ferguson led the way for those who participated in the 40-yard dash. He came in at an unofficial 4.63 seconds, just ahead of Joshua Simon. It was also 0.1 second away from the Top 10 fastest 40-yard dashes ever by a tight end at the NFL Scouting Combine.
However, there were still some strong showings as Friday’s events winded down. Here are the fastest 40-yard dash times for tight ends at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

After a standout career at Oregon, Terrance Ferguson cemented himself as the fastest tight end at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He came in at 4.63 seconds to lead the group who ran the 40-yard dash.

2. Joshua Simon, South Carolina – 4.65 seconds

After four years at Western Kentucky, Joshua Simon spent his final two seasons at South Carolina. He became a top weapon for the Gamecocks in 2024, and his 40-yard dash time was second among tight ends at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Fidone had a career-high 373 yards this past season, but didn’t find the end zone. That came after he had four touchdowns in 2023 while totaling 260 yards.
