3CHI unveils Kyle Busch's banned 'marijuana-related' NASCAR paint scheme
How often do we get to see banned paint schemes in NASCAR? Well, Kyle Busch and 3CHI had a design banned this season. Despite the fact it never made it to the track, the cannabis brand has released the renderings of it.
3CHI has been in the sport for a few years now. This season due to certain restrictions and pending legislation, 3CHI backed off their sponsorship on track. However, they made an appearance or two this season with Kyle Busch on the No. 8.
It took the company a long time to get NASCAR to approve their leaf logo. But this one was a step over the line. Can’t have those green leaves all over the car, at least how the NASCAR rules read currently.

If the rules ever change, I see Busch, 3CHI, and Richard Childress Racing making a lot of money off diecast and merch sales. 3CHI cannabis, Rebel Bourbon, Zone nicotine pouches – get your vices from the No. 8 team.
This is going to become more common in the sport. The 2018 Farm Bill that legalized hemp-derived cannabinoids has led to a huge market of cannabis-related products that are no necessarily THC-related.
However, there are still restrictions on advertising. Both from NASCAR and potentially the government. 3CHI has put a lot of marketing into Kyle Busch with their Kyle Kush line of edibles and vapes. Will they be back next season?

Will Kyle Busch still have 3CHI as sponsor in 2025?
This season the No. 8 team went winless. It was the first season without a win for Kyle Busch since he began Cup Series racing. Looking ahead to 2025, will Busch’s team look the same as they did in 2024?
As far as sponsors go, it feels like Richard Childress Racing has done a great job of finding partners. Let’s not forget that once Mars Candy left the sport, Joe Gibbs Racing had no way of funding Busch in the Cup Series.
while he has a lot of different sponsors, each one is important. During the offseason a year ago, it was rumored that 3CHI could be on the way out of NASCAR. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.
The brand did take a big step back from its 2022 and 2023 support. Let’s hope that Kyle Busch and 3CHI can continue to partner together for 2025, it is a unique brand for the sport and for RCR to have as a partner.
