The San Francisco 49ers (5-3) are expected to have both left tackle Trent Williams and receiver Deebo Samuel for the Week 10 road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars (6-2) Sunday.

Williams, the 10-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, has been sidelined with an ankle injury he sustained in the 19-17 Week 6 defeat to the Cleveland Browns (5-3). Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday that Williams was “real questionable” to suit up against Jacksonville.

“I think he’s real questionable to be playing,” Shanahan said. “That’s what my eyes see, too… We’ve got tomorrow. Tomorrow’s Saturday. If it’s no tomorrow, then we’ll wait to game time. Today was half speed, wasn’t able to do a lot yesterday, and yeah, I want to know how he feels all the way going up to it.”

49ers looking for Trent Williams, Deebo Samuel to spark offense

Samuel will make his return after missing the last two games with a hairline fracture in his shoulder. The 27-year-old has hauled in 20 receptions for 302 yards and one touchdown this season. He has added 95 yards and a score on the ground.

“Anytime you’re not part of the game, it’s kind of hard but I have kind of been there before,” Samuel said, via ESPN. “It’s just another game, not trying to do nothing crazy, just go out there and do what I do.”

Looking to snap a three-game losing streak, quarterback Brock Purdy is looking forward to the return of Williams and Samuel.

“Obviously, you get the ball into Deebo’s hands and he can do some crazy stuff and help our team out big time,” Purdy said. “To have Deebo back will be huge. Trent as well, like, that’s going to be awesome to have him and his experience as leadership and sort of just help out with everything; run game, pass game, Trent’s the best of the best. So, to have two of those guys back and give a spark and bring that energy to our offense, it’s huge.”
