The Aaron Rodgers lovers out there will want to be tuned in for the ManningCast version of Monday Night Football this week. The New York Jets quarterback will be joining Peyton and Eli Manning for the program.

Omaha Productions shared an image of Rodgers wearing a ManningCast T-shirt. The caption read, “Hey (Aaron Rodgers), cool shirt. See you tomorrow night on the #ManningCast.”

The ManningCast usually brings on three guests during the course of the broadcast. Having Rodgers on should be a fun addition to this week’s show.

This week’s Monday Night Football game features the San Francisco 49ers (5-1) and Minnesota Vikings (2-4).

Rodgers is no stranger to ESPN. The four-time league MVP makes weekly appearances on the Pat McAfee Show, which recently became an addition to the network. This appearance with Peyton and Eli should be no trouble.

Rodgers was traded from Green Bay to New York in the offseason after 18 seasons with the Packers. But his time on the field was cut short with the Jets this year, injured after just a handful of plays in the season opener.

Now, Rodgers is working his way through the injury and recovery and is hoping to return at some point during the 2023 season.

Aaron Rodgers talks Zach Wilson’s growth

With Rodgers suffering an injury early in the year, Zach Wilson has taken over the offense. And while some try to pile on the young quarterback, Rodgers says he likes what he has seen from the former BYU standout.

Some credit Wilson’s growth to Rodgers’ presence in New York. But the Super Bowl champion says he does not deserve a lot of credit.

“I really don’t deserve a ton of credit for his progression,” Rodgers said. “It’s been his own work ethic, his own desire to improve in all areas of his life. I think it doesn’t hurt to have an example of an older guy who’s had some success and seeing how I go about my business. I’m sure there’s been some stuff that’s rubbed off on him.

“But, he deserves a lot of credit. He deserves a lot of credit for the way he’s handled himself, his maturity, for his focus on the fundamentals and getting better. I’m very, very proud of Zach. Proud of the progression I’ve seen on and off the field.”

It should be interesting to get more insight from Rodgers during Monday’s ManningCast.
