New York Jets starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still banged up after going down with an injury during Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

With that said, Rodgers is still expected to play when the Jets host the Bills Monday night, according to new head coach Jeff Ulbrich. The interim coach spoke with the media about Rodgers’ status on Thursday.

“Aaron is, he’s going to be limited today, as he’s been on most Wednesdays,” Ulbrich said.

With the Jets playing on Monday this coming week, Thursday’s practice is like a typical Wednesday practice for New York.

“Same ankle, a little bit of the hamstring. Limited in practice, but no thoughts of any time he’ll miss Monday night,” Ulbrich said.

Aaron Rodgers suffered a low ankle sprain in the third quarter against the Vikings after his left leg got trapped under Vikings linebacker Jihad Ward on a pressure.

Rodgers was slow getting to his feet and hobbled to the sideline. He made his way to the blue medical tent to be further examined but instead went back onto the field after the Jets’ offensive drive continued following a roughing the punter penalty.

Aaron Rodgers fires back at ‘ridiculous allegations’ surrounding Jets HC exit

New York Jets (2-3) quarterback Aaron Rodgers responded to the accusations that he was involved in the firing of head coach Robert Saleh during a Wednesday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Rodgers told McAfee he “resents any of those accusations,” downplaying the amount of power he is perceived to have within the organization.

“As far as any of the ridiculous allegations out there, I’m not gonna spend more than one sentence in response to it. I resent any of those accusations because they’re patently false and it’s interesting the amount of power that people think that I have, which I don’t,” Aaron Rodgers said. “I love Robert, and it was one of those days yesterday.”
