Aaron Rodgers injury update: Jets QB status revealed for London game vs. Vikings

New York Jets (2-2) quarterback Aaron Rodgers, limited in practice earlier this week with a knee injury, is off Friday’s injury report.
Rodgers will be under center in Sunday’s Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings (4-0) in London.
Rodgers came out of last Sunday’s 10-9 Week 4 home defeat to the Denver Broncos (2-2) with a knee he described as “a little swollen.”
“I’m feeling a little banged up. Took some shots. Knee is a little swollen. But you know, just kind of wear and tear, Week 4,” Rodgers said on “The Pat McAfee Show” Tuesday. “I’m hoping that we can all have a little perspective here. That seemed like an outlier game.
“Obviously, Denver has a real solid defense. But you know, the weather and their defense and our execution made it a pretty bad combination there, only putting up nine points.”

Aaron Rodgers, Jets offense still searching for consistency
Rodgers, 40, is just four games into his return from a season-ending torn Achilles in 2023. He put together his finest performance in a Jets uniform in the 24-3 Week 3 win over the New England Patriots (1-3) but followed it up with a dud against Denver. Rodgers completed 24-of-42 passes for just 225 yards as the Jets were kept out of the end zone for 60 minutes.
Getting star wideout Garrett Wilson more involved would be a good first step in New York finding some consistency on offense. Wilson has hauled in 20 receptions for only 191 yards and a single score. He expressed his frustration on Tuesday’s “Bart & Hahn” show on ESPN New York Radio.
“I don’t think we do a lot of different stuff, to be honest,” Wilson said. “I watch football on Sundays, and I see a lot of teams mix it up and stuff like that. Don’t think we do that. I think we know our identity. It’s just about going out and executing it or figuring out if it’s going to work. I don’t think we’re trying a lot of different things.
“I know, personally, my route tree hasn’t been what it has been the last two years as far as the stuff I’ve been running. It’s just about figuring out if it’s the right identity and whether it’s going to win games.”
