Aaron Rodgers launches ridiculous Hail Mary TD to Allen Lazard before halftime vs. Bills
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw a Hail Mary touchdown pass in the Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills. Before the end of the first half, Rodgers completed a 52-yard TD pass to Allen Lazard to cut the Bills’ lead to 20-17.
Through the first half, Rodgers completed 13 of 17 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. He’s playing well considering it’s been an up-and-down season for the Jets. Last week the Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh after the team lost to the Minnesota Vikings in London.
While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show last Wednesday, Rodgers talked about how the Jets’ issues this year. “There was going to be some things that needed to change regardless of what happened to Robert,” Rodgers said, per the Jets’ official website. “
We just haven’t been playing consistent football on offense. And as we know, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. When you have a couple of games and obviously, I didn’t play well in either of them, but we just don’t play very efficiently, you have to adjust some things. It’s a part of our game, change is part of our sport, and I know there are a lot of things that were swirling out there.”

Rodgers also talked about getting a win against the Bills. “I think it’s a good perspective moment for all of us to reset mentally,” Rodgers said. “A lot of stuff is right in front of us, starting with this week, a division opponent, a chance to get to 3-3 and be tied for the division lead. We have 12 games left, that’s a long season.”
Rodgers now has thrown four Hail Mary touchdown passes in his NFL career. The first three came when he was with the Green Bay Packers and two of those happened in the playoffs.
