Aaron Rodgers postpones weekly Pat McAfee Show appearance after Robert Saleh firing
Pat McAfee just shared some big news about Aaron Rodgers after the New York Jets fired Robert Saleh. McAfee announced that Rodgers will appear on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
Rodgers normally appears on the show every Tuesday during the NFL season. His postponing the appearance gives him time to process the Jets firing Saleh, which surprised nearly everyone in the Jets building.
Rodgers joined the Jets last year after spending 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. During the season opener last year, Rodgers tore his Achilles and missed the entire season. He has played in all five games the year, and the Jets have a 2-3 record.
One of the interesting things that happened with Rodgers and Saleh this season is when Rodgers appeared to have pushed Saleh away when he was trying to hug him during the Week 3 game against the New England Patriots.
“He’s not a big hugger usually, so I didn’t know he was going for the hug,” Rodgers said with a smile, per ESPN. “He likes to do the two-hand chest push as well. He talks a lot about two-score leads. So I kind of gave him a push and said, ‘Two-score lead.'”

While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show last week, Aaron Rodgers talked about his relationship with Saleh.”Rob and I have a great relationship; we have since day one when I got here,” he said. “We have text message conversations, threads that we’re in, conversations about a number of different topics outside of football. We have a good friendship.”
Rodgers added: “There’s always going to be messaging and narratives out there, and you have two choices. You can ride the wave — really, a roller coaster — or you can say, “F— it, I don’t care.’ And I’m the latter. I don’t get into what the conversation is going on outside the building around myself.”
With Saleh gone, the pressure is on Rodgers to help the Jets become a Super Bowl contender. Despite the record, the Jets are only one game behind the Buffalo Bills for the AFC East lead.
