Aaron Rodgers says Dak Prescott is one of his 'favorite quarterbacks to watch'

Since entering the league in 2016, Dallas Cowboys (8-3) quarterback Dak Prescott has been one of the most scrutinized players in the NFL.
Such is life being the face of “America’s Team,” but when it comes to his performance through 11 games this season, there’s not much if anything to scoff about. Prescott has been nothing short of phenomenal, specifically over the past five games, where he’s thrown for 1,602 yards, 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions on 71% passing.
Prescott’s play has him not only in MVP conversations, but on the mind of four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. Speaking on “The Pat McAfee Show” Tuesday, the New York Jets quarterback called Prescott one of his “favorite quarterbacks to watch” right now.
“Tom Brady had some comments about some of the mediocrity in the game, and I just want to say Dak is not who he is talking about, for a number of reasons. I just love that he’s really playing the position,” Rodgers said. “What I mean by that is, I’m watching him make Ringo calls – that’s protection adjustments against these crazy looks and picking things up.

“I’m watching him bring the tight end back in against zero pressure – and old concept we used to run – and throw a TD to CeeDee Lamb in the back of the end zone. I’m watching him use his cadence beautifully and get into this rhythmic ‘here we go’ … using it as a dummy sometimes, into other cadences. The last three or four weeks I’ve gotten to see more of their games, and I just want to say, he’s playing the position in a really impressive way.”
Dak Prescott heating up at right time for Cowboys
The 30-year-old is coming off another stellar showing, in which he completed 22-of-32 passes for 331 yards and four touchdowns in the 45-10 Week 12 win over the Washington Commanders (4-8). The victory was his 10th career game with four touchdowns, tying Tony Romo for the most games with four touchdowns in Cowboys history.
“Pretty cool,” Prescott said. “I can’t say I’ve been one to care for numbers, but watching this team growing up and being a Cowboys fan, it’s humbling. Coming in and spending my rookie year with Tony, growing up watching Tony, understanding all of the success he has, it’s pretty cool. I want so much bigger than personal records, though. I’m just gonna keep my head down and keep working.”
