Aaron Rodgers spotlights biggest gain from win over Dallas Cowboys

The Green Bay Packers got off the schneid with a 31-28 OT win over the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. After losing five straight, this win was much-needed for the team as they now sit at 4-6 on the season. In Aaron Rodgers’ eyes, he thought it was a solid performance that thankfully got a monkey off of their back.
Rodgers was relieved about the performance in his postgame press conference on Sunday. He says he and his teammates were happy to get the little voice out of their heads that had been spreading doubt over the last month.

“Last week was definitely a low. Rock bottom-ish, for sure…I felt like that was the bottom and it was only up from there,” said Rodgers. “I think a lot of the battles that we face are between the person who can go out there and dominate and knows that they can and the little voice in your head that tries to knock you off of that confident perch you’re on. So I’m happy that I knocked that voice back into hell and had a good performance today.”
The Packers, specifically their offense, hadn’t played well in the streak that featured losses to the Giants, Jets, Commanders, Bills, and Lions. However, they bounced back with 31 points on the solid Dallas defense with 28 coming in regulation. Rodgers himself rebounded in a big way as well with 224 yards and three touchdowns.

He went on to say that they purged themselves of all that went wrong for them in October. With things back on track with the win, Rodgers is ready to keep it up on the back half of their schedule.
“There was a lot of demons that were exorcised today…We were obviously on a really rough stretch. Five in a row,” Rodgers said. “There were a lot of things that we turned around today.”
Rodgers and the Packers will have a short week to prepare, though. They will host the AFC South-leading Tennessee Titans in just three days on Thursday Night Football. However, with this confidence and the cold weather in Lambeau, Rodgers and Green Bay are ready to make a new streak with a second consecutive win later on this week.
