ACC Championship odds: Early point spread released for SMU vs. Clemson
The ACC Championship is officially set. It will be SMU vs. Clemson in Charlotte for the title game, and the early point spread has been released.
The Mustangs opened as 1.5-point favorites over the Tigers, according to FanDuel. The over-under also opened at 55.5.
SMU secured its spot in the ACC Championship in Week 13 with a victory over Virginia. It’s part of an impressive first season in the league for the Mustangs, who took an undefeated record in conference play into the season finale against Cal. Rhett Lashlee’s group will also look to officially clinch a College Football Playoff appearance in the title game.
Clemson entered Saturday needing help to make the ACC Championship, and the Tigers got it. Miami blew a 21-point lead against Syracuse in Week 14, meaning by virtue of the tiebreaker system, the Tigers will head back to the title game for the first time since 2022 even despite a loss to South Carolina.
SMU and Clemson will square off in the ACC Championship Dec. 7 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Here’s how to watch the game.

Clemson entered Saturday needing either a win against South Carolina or a Miami loss to get into the ACC Championship. The Tigers struggled to contain LaNorris Sellers and the Gamecocks running game, meaning all eyes turned toward Syracuse as the Orange took on the Hurricanes.
It looked like Miami was getting ready to punch its ticket to Charlotte. However, Syracuse rallied in a big way to take a late lead before eventually coming away with the victory.
The Hurricanes jumped out to a 21-0 victory over the Orange, but Syracuse didn’t back down. Kyle McCord and the passing attack rose to the occasion, outscoring Miami 35-14 over the second and third quarters before taking a 42-35 lead in the fourth quarter. The Hurricanes later got a field goal and looked to get a stop, but couldn’t follow through. Syracuse got the 42-38 win, and the Clemson faithful rejoiced.
