Adan Manzano, a reporter for Telemundo, died while on assignment at Super Bowl LIX, the station announced Thursday. He was 27 years old.

No cause of death was revealed for Manzano at the time of publication. He was in New Orleans covering the Chiefs for Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

KGKC-TV general manager Steve Downing released a statement confirming Manzano’s death. He said the station is working with law enforcement amid the investigation.

During his career, he received multiple awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters in 2024.

Tico Sports also released a statement on Manzano’s death. The company expressed condolences to his family, including his young daughter, Eleanor.
