AJ Allmendinger wins Las Vegas Xfinity Series race, advances to Championship 4
Get ready for one heck of a celebration! AJ Allmendinger gets the big win at Las Vegas and is going to the NASCAR Championship 4 in Phoenix. Allmendinger didn’t have a win yet this season, who knew it would happen on an oval?
AJ Allmendinger not only won his way to Phoenix but he won on his team owner’s birthday. Big day for Matt Kaulig. Allmendinger has described winning as a drug for him and that means he is going to be feeling really good tonight.
How special would it be for Allmendinger to win the Xfinity Series championship this year? He has a chance to do just that in a few weeks.
This is a big moment for AJ Allmendinger. He gets another chance at an Xfinity Series championship. The last time he was in this position was in 2022 when he went up against Justin Allgaier, Ty Gibbs, and Noah Gragson.
To get the win in Las Vegas is a huge advantage. Kaulig Racing has two more weeks to get the car and their driver prepared for the championship race. This season was always going to be wide open and it still is. But Allmendinger has made the first big move of the playoffs.
Ryan Sieg was running Allmendinger down late, but a caution saved the No. 16. You can only play the cards you are dealt, and the Dinger played his hand perfectly.

AJ Allmendinger looking for championship before move back to Cup Series
The ultimate goal is to win an Xfinity Series championship. Of course, that is the goal of every driver at the start of the season and the start of the playoffs. For AJ Allmendinger it would mean a little bit more, though.
After this season, AJ is headed back to the Cup Series. He has been back and forth between the top two NASCAR national series, but he will be back at the top of the sport in 2025. To make that move this time with an Xfinity championship would be major.
Over the next two weeks we will see who Allmendinger will go up against. Three more drivers will advance to Phoenix before the Round of 8 is concluded. Two more drivers have a chance to win their way in and the final driver will be determined by points.
AJ Allmendinger made a big statement tonight. For him to get the win at Vegas, on the oval, means that he is very serious when it comes to Phoenix. He now has extra time to get in the sim, have his team get his car prepared, and put together a championship performance.
