Despite some late cautions and restart madness, AJ Allmendinger pulled off the Tennessee Lottery 250 win in Nashville. It was a great crowd for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race and these drivers gave plenty of action for those in attendance. Wrecks were all over the place throughout the afternoon.

For the second time this year, AJ Allmendinger is a winner in the Xfinity Series. Hopefully, he can use this win as momentum for himself in the Cup Series. He drove that Kaulig No. 10 Chevy hard and was able to fire off solid restarts multiple times.

A Chandler Smith spin led to a second overtime restart with Allmendinger leading the field just ahead of Riley Herbst and a damaged Austin Hill in the 21 car. This one was all Allmendinger on the final restart as he ran away with it and a huge wreck ensued behind him.

When restarts start to pick up, drivers in the lead can be vulnerable. The good news is that Allmendinger was fast all afternoon and he fired off really well on the restarts. A double-overtime finish gave fans their money’s worth for sure.

The other Cup Series driver in this race, Ty Gibbs, was wrecked out early by Hill. That wreck also led to Carson Hocevar ending his day early. This race had about a wreck a minute at one point it seemed.

In the end, AJ Allmendinger found the grip and fired off so much better than the rest of the field. Putting a gap between himself and the field, Allmendinger put this one way without question.

AJ Allmendinger gets the right fix and wins at Nashville

Coming into this race, Kaulig Racing needed help. In fact, their Cup Series driver, Allmendinger, had to come in and set them straight in their Xfinity program. He told them they weren’t doing things right. Now, he gets another win, and this time on an oval.

AJ Allmendinger has had a hell of a career in NASCAR. Ups and downs and everything you can imagine. This race was intense and Allmendinger had the intensity to match it. It was a hot race and one a lot of drivers couldn’t handle.

Of course, this race wouldn’t have been complete without the field wrecking behind Allmendinger as he crossed the finish line. Just a reminder that Allmendinger does belong at a high level in NASCAR and he can win at the Xfinity level any week of the season.

Let’s hope we see the No. 16 in the Cup Series tomorrow racing just as well as the No. 10 in the Xfinity Series. AJ Allmendinger wins and gets Kaulig another W.
