AJ Brown clears the air over Jalen Hurts after 'passing' comment, Brandon Graham reaction
AJ Brown set the record straight about his relationship with Jalen Hurts and Brandon Graham‘s comments about the duo. While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver said there’s no beef between himself and Hurts.
“BG (Graham) is being BG,” Brown said. “He’s emotional. In that case, he just misspoke. Me and Jalen are good, so it’s just BG. Everybody loves BG, he’s speaking from the heart. He’s just giving his perception on something from the outside.”
On Monday, Graham appeared on 94 WIP and responded to Brown saying the “passing” was the biggest thing the Eagles need to improve on going forward, which led to some believing there was friction between him and Hurts.
“The person that’s complaining needs to be accountable,” Graham said. “I’m just being honest; You know what I’m saying? He knows this. I don’t know the whole story, but I know that 1 [Hurts] is trying and I mean, 11 [Brown] could be a little better with how he responds to things. And they were friends before this, but things have changed. And I understand that because life happens. It’s the business side that we have to make sure that we don’t let the personal get in the way of the business. And that’s what we gotta do better right now because we know it’s an issue.”

AJ Brown shares more on relationship with Jalen Hurts
AJ Brown went on to talk about how perception is not always reality when it comes to his postgame comments on Sunday. “They perceived what I said about passing and felt like it was an attack on Jalen. I think that’s what [Graham] did. Me and Jalen’s relationship is personal.”
The Eagles defeated the Panthers 22-16 on Sunday, but the passing game was left to be desired. Hurts threw two touchdown passes (and rushed for one) but only tallied 108 yards in the air. And Brown, who has made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro team in his last two seasons with the Eagles, caught four passes for 43 yards on four targets.
Through 10 games this season (missed three games because of an injury), Brown has recorded 48 receptions for 836 yards and four touchdowns. And despite the rough game on Sunday, Hurts has completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 2,602 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions with a 102.4 passer rating.
