AJ Brown frustrated over NFL drug test after crazy performance vs. Steelers
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown had a ridiculous Sunday afternoon. The superstar import from Tennessee has hit the ground running at his new NFC East home, and had his best performance by far as an Eagle on Sunday against Pittsburgh.
Brown hauled in six receptions for 156 and three touchdowns (which all came in the first half) while totaling a cool 39.6 fantasy points. A monstrous day for the unstoppable former Ole Miss Rebel.
However, Monday morning, Brown awoke to news that he would be required to take a drug test following his epic performance against the Steelers. Go figure, says Brown.
After years dealing with the NFL’s drug-testing policy, this isn’t the first instance where AJ Brown was a little fed up by the timing of these tests. Over the 2021 offseason, when he was still a Titan, Brown voiced complaints over being tested too many times. He tweeted in April of 2021: “NFL will y’all please leave me alone with these drug test. 3rd one this off-season. I don’t even drink protein milk. Chill on me.”

Clearly not happy with having to undergo constant scrutinization and testing for…what? Merely being a dominant player at his position? One look at AJ Brown’s body and tape and most people would assume such a abnormally athletic dude is on some sort of enhancement drugs. But no, Brown has always been a speedy Goliath on the outside.
NFL just wants to make sure that’s still the case after another otherworldly performance this past weekend. Hopefully, nothing comes of this “random” drug test and Brown’s game against Pittsburgh truly was just another chapter in a career which features several such outbursts.
If all goes smoothy and he’s cleared, Brown will be back on the field with the rest of his team. And the first-place Philadelphia Eagles travel to Houston for a Thursday night romp with the Texans.
