A.J. Brown nearly got taken out by a car during Eagles bike charity event
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown saw his life flash before his eyes while participating in a bike charity event. The NFL star was nearly struck by a car while on Instagram Live.
Brown participated in the Eagles Autism Challenge race when the incident happened. While riding his bike, he took to Instagram Live, which captured the frightening moment.
The phone appeared to flip out of Brown’s hand and landed facing upward. Below is the clip:
Fortunately, Brown didn’t appear to suffer any serious injury in the near-accident. But he did reveal why there was almost a collision — and it has to do with some questionable driving.
“I’m fine everyone lol,” Brown wrote on Twitter. “Someone ran the stop sign. I didn’t fall off my bike, I just dropped my phone and got out of the way. Stay safe everyone.”
After the incident, Brown even joked about it, suggesting that it might’ve been a Dallas Cowboys fan behind the wheel.
“I think I saw a star on the license plate,” he wrote.
Thankfully, Brown didn’t suffer any serious injury during the incident. It could’ve been much worse. But even though he’s OK, the receiver may not participate in the event next year.
In another video Brown says, “This s*** right here crazy … I ain’t doin’ this s*** no more.”
