As the regular season starts to wind down, Alabama will look to continue its push for the College Football Playoff as it heads to Oklahoma in Week 13. Ahead of the matchup, the early point spread has been released.

The Crimson Tide opened as 14.5-point favorites over the Sooners, according to FanDuel. The over-under also opened at 49.5.

Alabama took a break from SEC play as it welcomed Mercer to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Week 11. Kalen DeBoer’s group entered as a heavy favorite and cruised to the victory thanks to a big showing on both sides of the ball, led by Jalen Milroe and Ryan Williams.

Oklahoma, meanwhile, was idle for the final time this year. The Sooners have had an up-and-down go through their first year in the SEC and are coming off a loss to Missouri in the final seconds, which dropped them to 5-5 entering the last two games of the season.

Alabama went into its game against Mercer with plenty of momentum. The Crimson Tide went into Death Valley and defeated LSU to keep their CFP hopes alive in what was essentially an “elimination game” because of their rankings.

It seems like Alabama is finding its stride under Kalen DeBoer. In fact, he’s starting to see a “swagger” develop as the year goes along.

“You’re just trying to stack days, you know,” DeBoer said. “And along with that, when you do that, there’s a little bit of a swagger. I really don’t feel like we’ve ever been over confident or complacent in any way. We haven’t done enough here since we’ve been here to get to that point. So any of the things that have happened over the course of the season, I just attribute to the things where maybe it’s not gone as we’d hoped.

“I really attributed just part of our growth, you know, growth together and just staying the course. And you can see, slowly, the little things coming together and we got to reload it all and do it all over again, do it this week, back it up, keep improving. But it does make you feel good to see the progress that maybe is happening in practice, but it doesn’t show up in games. And now, you know, it’s starting to show up in the big moments.”
