A top-two team will have a showdown in Austin tonight with No. 2 Alabama facing off with Texas.

Alabama (20-3, 9-1) has won six straight in conference play following an 85-81 win at Arkansas on Saturday. That has them tied atop the standings in the SEC and up to their highest rating of the season at No. 2 in the latest AP Poll after Duke’s loss this weekend. However, as for this game, the Crimson Tide will have to avoid the look-ahead of the insane stretch in their last seven games, which starts with a historic matchup next between them and No. 1 Auburn in Tuscaloosa.

Texas (15-9, 4-7) is then still having a time trying to adjust to the Southeastern Conference. They have since followed their best stretch at 3-1 with a skid at 1-3, including a two-game losing streak to Arkansas and at Vanderbilt. Now, with them sliding on the bubble and in the bottom half of the league, they’ll look for a much-needed win with two ranked games at home this week starting with this one against ‘Bama.
