It is the time of year when teams show off their new paint schemes. Alex Bowman is getting a fresh new look with Ally for 2025. Bowman is hoping to build off his 2024 NASCAR season where he missed the Round of 8 in the playoffs on a postrace DQ.
Alex Bowman pulled off the win at the Chicago Street Race this season. He was able to find his consistency again after suffering his back injury in 2023. Now he’s ready to build on this year as the next season approaches.
Ally Racing has been a strong partner for Hendrick Motorsports. They are once again delivering a great paint scheme for Bowman and the 48 team.
During the season, Alex Bowman had moments that showed he was still the same driver he was before his injury. He had four top-5s in the first 10 races of the season. He turned that into five straight top-10 finishes afterward.
In the summer, Bowman did not shine. Had Tyler Reddick not gotten overzealous chasing him down at Chicago, he might have went winless. But that’s not how it played out and Bowman earned himself a ticket to the postseason with his victory on the streets of the Windy City.
Of course, Alex Bowman is the reason why Joey Logano won the championship this year. If only he hadn’t been disqualified.

2024 season hinged on Alex Bowman DQ
When there are 36 races in a season, it is hard to say that any one race affected the championship more than another. But when you look at the Roval from the playoffs this year, it’s hard to argue a race was more consequential.
Austin Dillon’s win at Richmond, I suppose, could be considered alongside the Roval for this honor. Bowman’s car was too light in the postrace inspection. NASCAR allows a buffer of about 17lbs for cars to meet minimum weight.
That disqualification took Bowman out of the Round of 8 and put Joey Logano into the Round of 8. From there, Logano won at Las Vegas and then Phoenix to claim his third championship in seven years.
Alex Bowman hopes that he isn’t hit with such an unfortunate result in 2025. Based on how well he was able to start the season in the last two years, I think we are going to get more of the consistent Bowman who wins one, two, or maybe even three races a season.
