Alvin Kamara put the kibosh on the rumor that he’s seeking a trade after the New Orleans Saints lost their fifth-straight game on Thursday evening.

Following a performance where the Saints fell to the Denver Broncos in New Orleans and Kamara only rushed for 10 yards on seven carries, some chatter on social media began regarding if the running back could be dealt in 2024. However, after some fake posts claiming Kamara requested a trade sprouted, he addressed the situation directly on Saturday.

“Incorrect,” Kamara responded, quote-posting a fake post that he requested a trade from the Saints, putting an end to those rumors. “… I ain request a trade.. so that’s a lie. I’m in an orange robe on the way to Knoxville.. #WhoDat.”

There you have it. Kamara hasn’t requested a trade, and he even added the tidbit that he’s headed to Knoxville for the Third Saturday in October clash between Alabama and Tennessee. The game holds some extra weight for Kamara, as he started his collegiate career with the Crimson Tide, but his allegiances certainly lay with the Volunteers.

Since coming into the NFL out of Tennessee, Kamara has been an incredible player for the Saints. At 29-years-old, he’s shown no signs of slowing down in New Orleans, as he’s currently third in the NFL in carries (111), sixth in rushing yards (438) and second in rushing touchdowns (6). The Saints started the season hot at 2-0, but they’ve found it difficult to rack up wins over the last couple of weeks.

If Kamara does ever request a trade, there would certainly be a bevy of interested teams. His ability rushing the football is well known, but what he brings in the passing game as well is unmatched by many running backs in the league.

The Saints and Alvin Kamara will be back in action after an extended break in Week 8, when they travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers. It’s paramount New Orleans starts getting some wins, and we’ll see if the running back can get it done on Oct. 27.
